Hi all ,
I bought this screen a years ago , it is connected to my pc with hdmi cable.
However since 2 months , the screen has developped a shadow line in the upper middle part of the screen.
I can't see it with dark colours , but if a use a bright grey , red , green or white wallpaper , it's there , and when there is a tilt movement (camera) that's really annoying for my experienced eyes, because the line is in a fixed position.
The line goes from left to right and does not disappear , i've tried to let the screen off for a day to see if it...

Re: Material to fix a power cord stopper
Thank you guys for all your answers ,
I ended up by using some RTV 162 , because Araldite brand is really hard to find in my country ( France ), but it looks good for the moment with the RTV but it is so damn hard to obtain something smooth when applying it in thick layer because of the high viscosity, but maybe because i'm too in the aesthetic side i think! Hope it will last as long as the first material.
Thanks!!

Material to fix a power cord stopper
Hi guys,
This is the last step before a total reassembly of my subwoofer YST-SW320,
i need to know what kind of material did yamaha use , to fix the power cord , and also the power switch ?This material prevent from air leakage also.
In the service manual , they recommend to use rapid cure bond such as 5 min epoxy.
I tried with Pattex Repair Epoxy Instant MIX 5 min, without success , it become to hard compare to the yamaha one and when i tried to bend the power cord, the epoxy material tend to break easily.
The material that...

Re: Idling adjustment question power amplifier
Thank you guys for all your answers.
So if i'm right , after 30 min of warm up (instead of 2-3 min on the service manual) , without input , and without the speaker, value beetween this two terminals TP11 and TP12 should be somewhere between 50 and 250 mV DC on the voltmeter and with the volume set to the minimum?
I did a full recap , but with exactly the same capacitors series ( panasonic M and chemicon SMG )
thanks!

Idling adjustment question power amplifier
Hi ,
There is something that i don't understand with an idling adjustment of an amplifier on the service manual (YST-SW320) :
IDLING ADJUSTMENT :
" To stabilize operation of the amplifier, turn ON the power with NO INPUT SIGNAL and wait for 2 to 3 minutes IN NON LOADED CONDITION before the adjustment.
Adjust VR1 (potentiometer) so that the voltage between terminals TP11 and TP12 is DC 50mV to 250 mV. "
What does " IN NON LOADED CONDITION " mean ?
I think at first without the driver / woofer ,...

Re: X or Y class capacitor for replacement ?
hey Japlytic,
In the schematic , they are connected between phase conductors and earthed casing and thus by-pass operating insulation, i thought to Y class at the beginning like in this scheme , it is very confusing, what do you think of this scheme, (coming from murata manufacturer).
Thanks...Last edited by nonanche92000; 03-08-2014, 07:40 AM.

X or Y class capacitor for replacement ?
hi guys,
I need some advices for capacitor replacement, one of them is slightly cracked at the top , values are 0.1µf 250 VAC for both , they are connected between phase conductors and grounded to the case.
I think they are EMI Suppression Capacitors , but i'm not sure of it , in the listing part , they are listed as polyester capacitor (C.POL).
Here is a picture and the schematic (C1 and C16) :
Thanks...

Re: Nichicon PW series rubber seal variant
hey guys ,
Nichicon sent me a very useful document, this document show that for different nichicon capacitor size , they have different rubber seal .
So nothing to worry about it, this is normal, hope this will be useful for all nichicon users .
See the document:...

Nichicon PW series rubber seal variant
Hi,
I bought some Nichicon capacitor for a recapping project.
I found that these capacitor , even if they are all from the same series (PW) , have different rubber seal.
I have a couple of Nichicon gold tune too , with different rubber seal.
see the photos:
For the PW series
For the Gold Tune
I just want to know if this is normal?
Thanks...
