Re: Asus Q304UA Not Charging Battery - Remains at 0%
Inducter tested good.
3 Caps tested as:
Capacitance: 11.76 μF | ESR: .448 mΩ
2 E4 mosfets tested as:
Capacitance: 980 pF | Vt: 1.8 V
1 A5 mosfet tested as:
Capacitance: 2.43 nF | Vt: 2.1 V
I hope my readings at the points where components were removed may give a better clue as to whats the issue...

Re: Asus Q304UA Not Charging Battery - Remains at 0%
Here is my amateur schematic of that section. When A/C is plugged in, all three mosfets close and but two have 800mV on its gate and source and one has 800mV at drain and 0V on gate and source goes to ground. Will post again soon...

Asus Q304UA Not Charging Battery - Remains at 0%
Asus Q304UA
Symptoms:
Battery does not charge despite Windows showing battery charging. The battery does not charge above 0%. I replaced the battery to find that the laptop slowly discharged the new battery even though it was plugged in and displayed as charging in Windows.
I found a mosfet A5 GNA at the battery connector which reads 19V on top side and 800mv at the gate and battery connector side (see picture with red drawing). Is this normal?...

Re: Insignia NS-L42Q-10A Red Tint and Inverted Picture
The owner of TV says the colors gradually got worse. Beyond that I dont know the history.
Factory Reset did not resolve issue
I believe the panel model number is either

or

Insignia NS-L42Q-10A Red Tint and Inverted Picture
The TV displays in what looks like inverted colors with a red tint. Im guessing this is a tcon board but want to run it by you guys in case I can swap a chip for cheap. I get 12V on both sides of the fuse on the tcon board...

Re: toshiba 42tl515u problems
I read 300mV at both sides of fuse while system is on, 20mV when standby...

Re: toshiba 42tl515u problems
I have 164mV at PWM pin
the emitter pin on both transisters are connected.
the base of q1001 goes to a 10k resistor then collector of q1002.
the base of q1002 goes to a 4.7k resistor then to both emitter pins.
Q1001
pin - desc - standby - reading
1 - base - 0 - 700mV
2 - emitter - 0 - 5mV
3 - collector - 0 - 24mV
Q1002
1 - base - 0 - 6.2mv
2 - emitter - 0 - 6.2mv
3 - collector - 0 - 3.2V...Last edited by doesntmind; 11-30-2018, 05:43 PM.

Re: toshiba 42tl515u problems
Thank you for this resource, I wasnt able to find my boards manual but I will keep this in bookmarks.
So far I have been able to trace the BL_ONOFF to the collector pin of LY Q1001 on back side of board. Do you think I should attempt applying heat on the board for a bit in case it just needs reflow? any tips or suggestions?...Last edited by doesntmind; 11-25-2018, 05:35 PM.

Re: toshiba 42tl515u problems
Thank you so much for your help! Do you know where I might be able to find a service manual on this so I can get a better idea on fixing the mainboard?...

Re: toshiba 42tl515u problems
Thank you for quick reply, I disconnected main board and applied 3 volts to BL_ONOFF & POWER_TV and it resulted in the back lights turning on, as far as i could tell non of the leds are out...

Re: toshiba 42tl515u problems
I want to remove the LCD panel in order to test LEDs. This will be the first time removing a lcd from a 3d TV, is their anything I should be aware of before continuing or is it the same for non 3d tvs?
