Re: Plasma screen issues
I guess that would make sense. All of my viewing is from digital sources as I don't have cable. I guess I can get an antennae and see if it's the same. Just wondering though.. Why would there be noise when watching, say, a standard movie (5th element); as opposed to when I watch an animation (such as Archer) and the picture looks fine?

Re: Plasma screen issues
Yes, you are correct on all bounds. 2006 model and the 1080i opposed to 1080p I'm sure does make a difference. I put a little more effort and looking at it and the fine grain noise (hard to describe) doesn't seem to be normal. I've heard of this being a problem with TV's that have a failing power supply?...

Re: Plasma screen issues
Thanks for the quick reply Tom.
I am about 7-9 ft away from the TV. Is this still normal? Guess maybe I'm just being too picky and not getting my settings right. Still don't feel like I have that "picture"....Last edited by Der3wuste3fuchs; 04-06-2014, 03:09 PM.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Aloha,
My name is Ian and I am active duty Navy stationed in Hawaii. I work on electronics so as I was looking for information on some bad display on my plasma, I came across this forum and I think by now I know a good community when I see one; so I hope it meets my expectations!
Thanks
