Are you suggesting bridge on the mainboard or PSU?...

Re: Not getting AC DET on plasma
Im not sure that IC701 is getting the voltage to send down to AC DET. The resitor and path from IC701 is good. This has to be an issue with the IC701 or the rectifing circuit that supplies the voltage to the IC to give to the mainboard.
What do you suggest?

Re: Not getting AC DET on plasma
Paulstef:
The PSU 'never' gives the AC DET. Here is a pic. You can see where AC DET goes up to IC701 through a 1k resistor labeled R730.
If I tricked the mainboard by supplying 5 volts on that line it would not tell the tv to turn off. However, where can I steal 5 volts from on the PSU?...

Re: Not getting AC DET on plasma
PCB:EAX61397101/9
PSU P/N: EAY60968701
It is not an issue with the main board. The PSU never gives AC DET whether I do static load test or not. Mainboard connected or disconnected. This is a fault on the PSU.
I also traced the AC DET through a resistor onto pin to of IC701. I cannot determine if the fault is with the IC or the rectifying circuit.
What do you suggest??

Not getting AC DET on plasma
I have a Zenith 50" plasma. Model: Z50PJ240-UB
Set turns on and right back off. I found a training manual to test the SMPS. I am not receiving the 4.44 on the AC DET line. According to the manual the AC DET is collected from the Ac line rectified and then routed to the IC701. The IC then sends 4.44 on pin 16 to the main board. As long as 4.44 remains the tv functions. If AC DET is lost set shuts off.
I want to test the rectifying circuit but cant identify where it is on the PSU.
Any help would be appreciated

Re: EAY60968701 power supply schematic needed
The 2 resistor board has to 22 ohm 5 watt the 3 resistor board has 3 10ohm 2 watts if that helps. I do not know if they are interchangebale.

Re: EAY60968701 power supply schematic needed
If I had a schematic I would start with seeing if the IC is receiving its signal. If so, the IC is bad. If not, its a problem with the rectifing circuit (my guess). Im guessing the IC is never getting the 4.44 to send to the mainboard but I dont know where that voltage is collected at. No info in the manual.
One other thing I was thinking. Is it possible to send around 5 volts to the mainboard on pin 16? That would satisfy the main microprocessor and in theory the set should still function. Even though the PSU isnt making...

Re: EAY60968701 power supply schematic needed
I am having a similar problem with this same set.
I am getting all voltages except 'AC DET' Which explains perfectly why it is shutting off right after turning on.
How can I determine the exact issue? I have found IC701 on the rear side but no idea where to check if it is receiving the signal to send to D813....

No Power Emerson LC320EM2
I had the same fuse blowing problem as others. Best I could tell I only had 3 bad components on the primary circuit. They were (1) MOSFET Q600, (1) ZENER DIODE D610, and (1) SCHOTTKY DIODE D640.
D600-D603 all tested good.
After replacing the parts I now get no power or signs of life whatsoever. No indicator light or clicking, nothing.
Any suggestions?

That schottky is D640

Re: Sylvania lc320ss2 LCD TV keeps blowing fuse
I have this set as well. Was doing the same thing (blowing fuses) I found (1)bad zener diode. (1) bad Schotty diode and the bad mosfet. I replaced all 3 and now the set shows no signs of life. Wont power on, no lights, etc..
Any suggestions?

Re: Emerson LC401EM2F
The service bulletin for this model lists: "Cure: Remove the diode, replace fuse. Do not replace the diode. Perform any additional repairs as necessary. "
