Re: Samsung UN55D6450 turns itself off and on endlessly, no blinks
any way to bypass the backlight LED's functionality check? maybe to simulate somehow the current consumption... at least I could check if that's the issue and everything else works. thanks.
or a schematic for bn44-00427A/B ?

Re: Samsung UN55D6450 turns itself off and on endlessly, no blinks
ok, so what i understand is that each strip is divided in 4 independently driven sections.
According to the fast-track:
LED Drive Voltages (CNL802 A&B):
1.Positive Pins Lx+ & Rx+: (38Vdc)
2.Negative Pins Lx- & Rx-: (1 ~ 10Vdc)
1.1Vdc = Brighter screen
2.10Vdc = Darker screen
I guess the brightness is controlled via voltage. higher voltage brighter led. So I would think of 4 pairs of LX- and Lx+ for one side strip, but the board has...

Re: Samsung UN55D6450 turns itself off and on endlessly, no blinks
I've checked the closest fast-track guide to my model, from Tom's site a UN46D8000, the only thing it mentions is :
Forced Backlight-On Mode:
1. Disconnect Power Cord
2. Disconnect wire harness from CN201
3. Re-Connect Power Cord
4. LED Backlight should immediately turn on
That's what I did when I took the pic and...

Re: Samsung UN55D6450 turns itself off and on endlessly, no blinks
OK, here's how it look like. tried to take pictures in the dark to see the backlight, but the camera doesn't do quite well. But it-s clear that the top 1/4 is not lit. Here's a video too maybe it's better.

According to this video ( ~ 14min ) , the tv has micro dimming technology meaning that each led can be independently turned on/off. I don't understand then why...Last edited by nroberto13; 03-31-2014, 06:13 AM.

Re: Samsung UN55D6450 turns itself off and on endlessly, no blinks
Hi Guys, back with news. Replaced my main, but unfortunately just noticed that the top of the screen is not lit, so I guess during the different testing so many reboots ( each one triggering the leds on and off ) burned the leds..., I'm pretty sure when the TV started to reboot, the screen was equally lit everywhere. Now with the new main the tv behaves slightly different, it doesn't turn on right after plugging to power, as it did with the my main, but it goes into standby and turns on only by pushing power button....

Re: Samsung UE40D8000 bootloop ( powerloop )
Just changed the mainboard with one from a 55d7000, but doesn't work. with this board the display doesn't light at all, it doesn't show the samsung smart tv logo either. the model and code is the same on both boards : bn41-01622C. could it be due to the difference in the tv model? mine is 40d8000 and the replacement one is from a 55d7000.

Re: Samsung UE40D8000 bootloop ( powerloop )
many thanks for the advice. I already tried to turn off everything wireless in the house, and didn't helped. As a side note, when the TV started after some reboots I was able to access the service menu, and remember that wd count was 0, so it wasn't rebooted by watchdog, I guess.

Re: Samsung UE40D8000 bootloop ( powerloop )
The position is not working anymore....
When I disconnect the T-CON board, the reboots are coming on a randomly and mostly I can hear the sound for some seconds or minutes then a reboot comes, and so on. Does this mean anything, if the T-CON board is the issue or that's not the issue? thanks.

Re: Samsung UE40D8000 bootloop ( powerloop )
OK, tried to heat the boards but actually found another solution. I observed that turning the TV around it's leg sometimes solve the issue. I think I found a position now in which the TV is working fine. I tend to believe it's definitely a connection issue, the question is again, on which board ..., any clues how to track it down?

Samsung UE40D8000 bootloop ( powerloop )
Hi Guys.
I'm facing the power on / power off issues with my UE40D8000 TV.
When I plug it to power source it starts itself without pushing any button either on remote ro the TV itself. The power led turns on, Samsung SMARTTV logo shows up on the screen and then the TV shuts itself off ( I can hear a click, most likely from relay ) and the process starts over and over again. After 4-5 minutes of this bootloop it turns on, works for around 1-2 hours and then goes into restart endlessly.
Could it be something related to heat? maybe a faulty component?
here's a...
