Sorry, I actually got rid of this whole unit a while back. It just sat in my garage without me fixing it. (I am assuming the LG 60 in plasma right?)

Re: Vizio P50hdtv10a vertical bar
Sorry for the double post, but does anyone know where to get ahold of the IPM's for this set?

Re: Vizio P50hdtv10a vertical bar
Good stuff guys, I have one of these tv's of my own that I am repairing. P50HDTV10A
I found that three of my six total FETS on the buffer boards were shot so I replaced all of those at the same time and I am also about to begin trouble shooting my Ysus. Is it possible when the Buffer FETs went they took an IPM with them? (I have to wait for a cable to come in the mail before I can work on the set anyway since my cat chewed through it.......*facepalm*)

Re: LG 60PC1D plasma no video
Quick update: I actually got to take some pics of the boards.
The resistors at the top of the Zsus are what's concerning me the most. Is it possible to repair/replace the IPMs on these boards or will I need to replace the whole boards?...

Re: LG 60PC1D plasma no video
Thanks for the quick reply. I haven't really had any time to look at it since I posted here, but do you know of a good way to test the IPM's in circuit? or I suppose I could desolder them to test out of circuit as well, not too big of a deal with the right tools.
Do you have any idea why the resistors would be getting so hot?
Will get on those pics later today

LG 60PC1D plasma no video
Hey Guys,
I just got my hands on a LG 60PC1D plasma for free from a friend, the unit has audio but fails to come up with a picture. Apparently the Zsus boards are a problem in these TV's. So after cracking the back off I noticed there was a single bulged cap on the Zsus and the large resistors on the top right get scalding hot. I will try to get some pictures up soon. I noticed that when I test across the VS to GND in diode mode it beeps for a few seconds and then quits. So its shorted for a few seconds? Any idea what would cause this? I did notice a LARGE buildup of fluid that seemed to...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi, Im new here, as if you can't tell by this post. Anyways, I am a computer tech for a local company in Central Florida. I play around with broken TV's and other electronics when I am looking for a projects, and many of those have Bad Caps, or lots of other electrical issues. So I will be lurking a great deal, but will hopefully start a few forums that may help some one else.
