I made the mistake of moving my TV for a video game tournament and didnt plug it into a surge protector. Not a good idea during rainy season in Miami BTW!!!! Anyway long story short.. Murphys law.... Big storm, terrible lightning, big boom, lights out no power, power back on standby light showa yellow but TV wont power on. NEED HELP!!!! I would like to fix this myself. research on YouTube gives me the impression that it can be done. Would like feedback from professionals. I do not have any tools tho so I Im curious if...

LTank I am greatful for your post. I moved my TV to a different plug for a video game tournament and didnt plug it up to a surge protector, lucky me that night there was a storm and the lights went out, when they came back on I believe the power supply was blown. Or at least that is what I gather from all of the research I have done on different forums. Is this similar to what happened with you?? Is this something that a person with limited knowledge of electronics could fix themselves???

Hello I am not on the level of most on here so I am afraid I will have little to offer but I am a prett handy self reliant super-tall chick and I like to fix things myself when I can and I am thankful for this forum because I have access to knowledgeable people willing and wanting to be helpful!!!!!
