Re: What to do? Got new board.....
Got everything together and all works like it should, sound, pic. The only thing that doesn't work is the wireless card. So would that one connection have anything to do with the wireless?

Re: What to do? Got new board.....
I can do better pics if need be. I just had my phone on me at the time. So it's ok to go ahead and hook it all up and try it out without that one connection?

Re: What to do? Got new board.....
No sir... It connects to the power supply. It's the left connector in the pic.

What to do? Got new board.....
I ordered a new main board for the Vizio I'm working on and one connection is different on it. Can I simply remove the connector on my old board and solder it to the working board? If so would I need to remove the other connector from the working board or can I just leave it on there? I'll post pic to show what I'm talking about....

Vizio Eeprom location on main board??
I have a Vizio XVT553SV with the main board being a 0171-2272-3237, white sticker is 3655-0122-0150(7F). The problem started as most, back light comes on and can not turn off TV without pulling the plug. I traced down the problem to a 1117 reg. I replaced the 1117 and got the video to finally come back up. But now it's stuck at the Vizio Logo Screen. I searched around to find out it is most likely the eeprom corrupted. So I got to looking at mine and the eeprom closest to the processor is location U40 and not U14 or U18 like most post are suggesting to check. I have searched to find a U40 eeprom...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hey guys.....
Been lurking for a bit and doing some reading on the forum. Been fixing tv's as a hobby for friends and family for a while now. Guess it's time to join and get my learn on on how to do things the right way. Great site guys, can't wait to get to ask some questions. I'm stumped on a particular TV and need some advice.
