Re: LG 47LC7DF PSU dead
One of those small caps did not read on my capacitance meter but it was not shorted or open either, anyway I replaced it with no luck.
Today I replaced the rest of the small caps even though they tested good or at least close on my meter and sure enough the standby 5V was back. After re-assembly the TV is running again. Thanks for the help Budm.

I will check those out, thanks for the drawing.

Re: LG 47LC7DF PSU dead
Yes, I get about 1.9 - 2.0V whether it is connected to anything or not. I will try to identify the SMPS IC but I have not been able to trace things very well without the schematic. Thanks.

Re: LG 47LC7DF PSU dead
I guess I will remove the rest of the electrolytics and see how they test. I will also remove and test the fets. Other than that I will be out of ideas without a schematic.
Are LG PSU schematics really this hard to find? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Re: LG 47LC7DF PSU dead
There is not much to see but I have attached some pics. The PSU is more or less dead, I am just hoping someone can point me to a schematic.
Thanks...

LG 47LC7DF PSU dead
Hello, wondering if anyone has a schematic for the LG 47LC7DF power supply board, PN EAY36781301. I replaced the usual bad caps 2 years ago but now the supply is completely dead, the only thing I can find is 5VSB reads about 1.9V. No parts read open or shorted that I can find, was hoping to find a schematic to troubleshoot the standby section of the supply board. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick

Re: Samsung PN51D530A3F plasma with weird pixelated display
VSC measures good, I have not tried updating firmware. I can attempt that but TV was working fine until it would not turn on. I did replace 5 FETs and a rectifier on the Y and Z boards. It seems to have had some sort of electrical event to hurt that many parts at one time.
I do have a scope if there is anything I can check. Thanks for the help so far.

Re: Samsung PN51D530A3F plasma with weird pixelated display
Hi Tom, I was only able to adjust Ve from 80 to a max of 88 and it did not have any effect. I did get slight improvement when adjusting Vs though. I could take it from 207 to 214. The improvement was slight and it is still not what I consider acceptable. I wonder if I still have problems with the Y board.

Samsung PN51D530A3F plasma with weird pixelated display
Hello, I am having quite a time getting this PN51D530 back to life. The set would not power on, was flashing the LED a few times and would try the power supply relay for a few seconds but then turn off. I replaced several shorted FETs on the Y and Z boards and a shorted rectifier. Then the power supply decided to quit and only had 3.2V on the PS standby line instead of 5.2V. After replacing the power supply board the set powers on but the screen shows strange pixel patterns. When the set is first turned on several pixels are out but the longer the set is on the more pixels come back to life. The...
