  • Re: Barco LCN-42 No Power

    Hello guys,

I know it's an old thread, but here is my story:

I have two barco's with the same defect:
    No 18V output.

I found that mosfet 11n80c3 burnt, the 18ohm power resistor exploded, the 2 33ohm resistors r203 and r204 burnt, r202(100ohm) burnt.

I replaced the mosfet with 11n60c3 (i have lots of them), the 18ohm replaced with 22ohm, r203, r204 eith 33ohm, r202 on one board with 180ohm, on the other with 100ohm.

Ok, now i have one working board, and one not.
    On the...

    Done. Fixed it!
One of the 8309 was bad. Although it looked ok on cold test, it was giving only 0.5V on output. Luckly when i bought them i took 10 pcs. Replaced the 8309 and now i have 8.5V
The lamps light fully now, and the monitor is working perfectly.
Thank you for all of your advises.

Yep, that's what i'm thinking. I will need to do some more measurements.

OK, so it seems there is still a problem with the inverter.
I checked out the lamps and they are ok.
I tested the inverter with another set of lamps and the same problem appears:
The lamps do not fully lit.
They are fully lit at one end and barely lit at the other, with a little flicker.
I will attach some photos later.
No loose wires, tested 8 lamps already and all of them experience the same problem on both inverter transformers. I think there is not enough power to the transformers, but i don't know why.
    I checked the...

It seems that budm was right, I think all i did was to trick the DET signal for the inverter to start. After the inverter started i noticed that the left half of the screen is darker. Though i checked all the lamps with a notebook inverter, it seems thet one of them has a problem.

    I've done the following thing:
I replaced R241 with a variable resistor and got the monitor working at around 40Kohm.

I would like the exact value of it, so i can replace it with a fixed value.
So, i really need that value please.

@jahjhai Do you think you can give me the values for those components?

I tested the lamps with another inverter and tested OK.
I am still waiting for those values to replace those parts and continue testing.

Here is the datasheet of SEM2006.
It is 2006, not 2000 as i stated in my previous posts.

Hello, jahjhai, have you managed to find out the problem?
those mosfets are 8309 not 8303.
I have the same board, same problem.
I replaced caps, mosfets and now backlight comes on for 2 sec, then only image, no backlight.
I found one smd resistor, and one smd cap which look burnt. Those are for OVP circuit for SEM2000. I found a schematic for sem2000 usual setup and it looks pretty much like the one on board, but there are no values there.
Anyway, i measured the voltage on OVP pin for sem2000 and it rises to 5V. In the datasheet...

    The lamps are ok.
As i told you, there is a problem with OVP (over voltage protection) circuit. One smd resistor and one smd capacitor look damaged and i can't identify their values. Could anyone give me their values or give me a schematic so i can change them?

The fuse is good, the voltage is 13.6V.
The Bl_On Goes to 4.5V if i remember correctly, i will have to check again in the morning.

Yes, the image is there, only the invertor is not working.

Hello, I have this invertor board IP-49135B.
At first, the monitor shut down suddently.
After opening it I found 4 bad caps. After replacing all caps, still nothing. I checked U202, U203, both shortened. I replaced them and now the monitor displays image for 2 seconds, after that it goes dark again.
It seems there is a problem with the OVP circuit.
Can you please tell me the values for R241, R214 and C207?
I have marked them on the image, in case i misread them.
On my board R241 is showing overheat marks...
