Re: Dell Inspiron 1721-Battery Works-A/C not
Thank you for the response - I did re-solder and that did not correct it. I will replace it and see if that fixes it. Txs

Re: Vizio VL470M "No Power"
Yes--I was looking at some of the videos like on YouTube--I checked the fuses and they are good-The Processor in the middle of the Main board is "HOT"-like temperature wise.

Re: Vizio VL470M "No Power"
Thank you for the help--I measured the 5V Stand By and all 3 terminals are measuring 5.12 v. The Power On/Off Pin is at 1.43 v. The 12 v pins are just above 12v....

Vizio VL470M "No Power"
I have a No Power scenario on my Vizio VL470M HD TV. I believe it may have been caused by a storm we had. All my clocks at home were flashing due to a power outage. When I tried to turn on the Vizio nothing happens. No lights, no sound, no Vizio Logo.
I ordered another Power/Inverter board but it did not correct it. Now-with $80.00 already invested in the new Power board-should I just replace the Mainboard as well? Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Dell Inspiron 1721-Battery Works-A/C not
I would appreciate any help here. Hopefully someone else had this happen. I have a Dell Inspiron 1721 that will work just fine when using battery for power, but when I plug in the A/C adapter it will not see the battery or use the power from the A/C adapter.
If I remove the battery it will not power on, nor does it charge the battery. I did not see anything burnt or otherwise obvious. Any help would be great!! Thank you

Just saying hello to all the tech junkies out there. At least there is hope with this wonderful site. I have been reading the posts and they are very helpful. I hope I can offer advice and of course get some help.
I have been in the repair biz for about 15 years--good advice is had to find.
Thank you all
