Thereis a short current flowing through it. The only possible current may be when power supply inverted. If it wasn't repaired or had cut wire the only reason is bad diode. Remove it or change with another good one. A short [i]somewhere[/i] also possible.
Blown cap is near LAN jack, maybe lightning or high voltage was applied to a LAN wire?Re: Dell Inspiron N5030 external power idea
