I've tried ubuntu, debian, mint, suse, etc but no one has 2 finger pinch to zoom. Crazy but Win and OS X have had it for years now. Suse is getting close -- their latest release has multi-touch gestures but somehow they left out 2 finger pinch to zoom last time I checked the release candidates.

I can't live without it. Deal breaker. Shame too because I ran linux since before linux and I wanna come back. Re: Linux Pinch to Zoom in Firefox?

Linux Pinch to Zoom in Firefox?

I have a confession. It's been 2 years since I used Linux and I want to come back; however, there's a problem. After using Win8 on an Acer S7-391, I've become dependent on [B]pinch-to-zoom in Firefox[/B] using the Elan Touchpad. None of the major distros support this feature AFAIK.

Thanks Bud Martin, splitcrete, tom66 and others. I'm not gonna declare victory yet, but this Vizio VO47L has been up and running for the last hour, no problemo. Pics below.

Recap: Changed cap on PSU at C241; changed both caps on both inverters, and hacked a fuse onto master inverter (thx budm)....

Update: The fuse on the master inverter is blown -- 24v on one side, and 0 on the other.

Yep, that's a good one. He's measuring a full volt higher on his inverter pins A&B vs. mine. ...

Oops, my mistake, I was measuring the main board.

On the inverter connector, A=2.3v, B=3.2v

Is A too low?...

Update: I found the KOAC 10a fuse on both inverters and they test okay for continuity.

Now, I'm stuck.

Yeppers, I took a shortcut and only replaced C241 but I'm getting a rocksteady 24v at CN2, etc....

Hi. Complete rookie here.

Story goes, the picture on the VO47L dies and a puff of smoke appears. I opened it up and cap C241 on the power supply spewed acid all over the heat sink. So I think, "this is easy" and grab the correct cap, 105', 470uf35v and replace it, no problemo, working great!; except, 1/2 day later, the picture goes black again. Open it back up and the same cap is bulging. Then I notice (yes I'm a noob) that the caps on the inverters (master/slave) are leaking. Yikes. So this time I order Panasonic caps for the inverters i.e. 680uf35v105' and a Nichicon...

Watching this thread too.

My VO47LFHDTV10A (manufacture date 2008) blew a cap @ C241 - 740uf 35v two days ago and spewed its acid on the heat sink sending up a puff of white smoke like I haven't seen since my college days. I replaced it and the TV worked for about 24 hrs then the problem came back. C241 is bulging, and C952 1000uf 10v doesn't look so great either so I will replace all the caps this time, hopefully, tomorrow. (Wish me luck, I'm a total rookie.)...
