  • Re: LG 26LG3000 Sound, frozen picture

Well, since I've taken it apart and put it back together again it's working fine with a gentle squeeze either side of the TV! Definitely not the board I'm guessing!

I'll check back here if that stops working (too many other things to do) but I really appreciate all your help so far. This is such a great forum!

Ok that sounds good, is there a video showing how you did this at all?

Pics update of the circuits. I don't have a clue what I'm looking at here!!

    Thanks again!...

Hi, I don't own any soldering equipment, I'm a techie novice! I just wondered if it's worth fixing it at all and how easy it will be.

Once I have the pics I will post them up.

Thanks for your prompt reply by the way!

Hi guys! I'm hoping someone can help me out here.

I was given my Dad's old LCD TV a short while back. When I finally started using it, when first turned on the screen would just go grey then start to show a picture then freeze and go grey but after a short while it would warm up and would work fine.

I recently started using it a little more often and the first few days it went as described, taking up to 30 minutes to warm up.

This evening I turned it on and left it for a while expecting it to warm up after the half hour, however now I just have a bunch...

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hi, I'm Marie, I live in England and have very little technical knowledge, I'm here for some help with an LCD TV I was given (I'll start a new thread in the TV section).

From what I see so far this seemed like a good place to come for advice, my only concern is that I don't have a soldering iron which everyone seems to feel essential for fixing the circuits in a TV!

Anyway, look forward to getting some knowledge from all you techies out there!
