Hi everyone, i got a Alienware Area 51M-R1 that recently stopped working after downgrading the bios from 1.5.0 to 1.3.2. When powering on the laptop with the charger plugged in it does not post, fans don't spin and the keyboard doesn't light up either except the power button logo.
The logo shows a green light for a few seconds and then goes off for a second and keeps repeating for about 4-5 times. After that i get 2 red flashes followed by 1 blue flash which keeps repeating. This code usually means cpu failure but i can confirm that the cpu works because i tested it on a other system...

Hi Guys,
I need to replace the dual rail power supply in this unit (board damaged irreparably - by me!).
I have the schematic (attached) - but it does not (unhelpfully) show the value of the Pos and Neg rails.
Someone has suggested possibly + and - 42V, but as the smoothing caps are only rated at 50V this could be a bit close to the mark.
I am hoping Alxxxxpress might be able to come to the rescue and I am thinking somewhere in the 32V 8A region? Any suggestions/observations would be welcomed.

Hi all,
I got a controller where the left stick was moving left all the time (-1.00 at calibration tool). Even after changing to hall effect sticks it stayed the same and reset and all others things didn't help.
I removed the stick again and even without it calibration tool shows a movement to the left. Anybody knows where the fault can come from? Maybe any bridges or damaged SMD components?05-02-2025, 05:00 PM -

Not long ago I just bought this used laptop from online shop, everything was normal but i realized that i couldn't enter the BIOS.
my first thought was because fast startup so i tried disabling it
but i can't enter BIOS after pressing F2/Fn+F2 after restarting the laptop
tried turning off the laptop and turning it back on then pressing F2/Fn+F2 still didn't work
lastly i tried accessing via Windows UEFI Firmware Settings and it worked, but it stopped at the password screen. tried entering some password 3 times but only showing error system locked.

I bought a case of them the battery cells are made in China the charge curve looks decent for 1 amp charging rate there is also a BMS protection board which here is the website link to them

Hello, got an iPad Pro A2378 12.9 5th gen with no backlight. Got another test unit without screen, tested the screen, still no backlight with the test unit.
Figured out the backlight on the screen was bad, ordred a new backlight from mobilesentrix, *carefully replaced it* without damaging the lcd, oh well.
Final result, issue is still there, the screen has no back lights. So i'm back to square one, with 3 hours less and 100$ out, issue still on the screen.
The panel is still ok, i can see the apple in the middle of the screen when it kicks in, just no backlight.

I'm looking for some help, sorting out a protection circuit fault on my Kenwood KA-701 integrated amp. The amp does turn on , but the relay don't click. It usually ends up being, a transistor, or cap on the protection circuit, DC offset problem. I can't read schematics real well, and the ones I have are really bad quality. There are no good quality one's I have found so far. Looking for some professional help. Blue Midnight helped me a lot in the laptop forums, but It's been a few yrs, like 6 or so.
