by ekozeko333Hi all,
I’m trying to recover a Lenovo Yoga Slim 7-14ARE05 with board DA0LS3MBAF0 Rev:F. I’ve run into an unusual issue where USB-C PD is stuck at 4.7–5V and the system won’t boot (keyboard lights flash briefly, then nothing).
🔥 The Problem Started After Suspected ESD/PD Fault
I experienced a power issue or ESD event through a USB-C charger
After that, the NX20P5090 power switch was visibly burned and was replaced
Now the PD controller always negotiates 5V @ 2A, even with known-good chargers
🧠 What I’ve Done So Far

by PrototechoHi guys,

I've attempted to delete the bios/efi password for a mabook Pro 15" that I bought from a fellow who sold me some programming books. It was in working condition but unable to be unlocked because he couldn't remember the passwords. Unfortunately, after flashing the BIOS with my attempt to remove the EFI password, all I get is fans spinning, black screen, seems like the EFI is not operational. Touch pad becomes active (haptic feedback) but external USB keyboard is not and only the power button on the...-

by protocoldI would like to get some help on a 820-2850 logic board with intermittent charging problem. Sometimes the battery will charge all the way and sometimes magsafe would be cycling between green and orange.
I have already tried replacing dc-in board, swapping good battery, swapping genuine 85w chargers. None of that helps..
when it is not intermittent:
PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.07v
when it is intermittent:
When the light is green, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 12.99v
when the light is orange, PPVBAT_G3H_CHGR_R is 11.62v
data line on the battery...Today, 08:18 PM -
by MalodicOneUnit came to me and customer said they spilled liquid on it. Opened unit and inspected board and saw no signs on liquid reaching the board. Plugged in amp meter and it pulled 20v and booted normally, i connected to internet and ran update on the OS. Came in the next day to test again to make sure unit was functional, now its stuck at 5v and 0 amps no power, no shorts found on so far.
Tested all CD3217 and RAA489900:
UF400
PP3v3_UPC0_LDO- 3.48v, .473 Diode
PP1v5_UPC0_LDO_CORE- 1.59v, .504 Diode
USBC0_CC1- 0v, .455 Diode
USBC0_CC2- 1.66v, .454 Diode...
