I am a new member, I live in South Africa. I work in IT, since 2006, currently love to fix my own electronics. I also hoard things I find nice prices on, and try to teach myself how to fix things as fun and for some extra side pocket money when there is need for it. I also like AI. Just joined the forum from Italy. I work in cybersecurity and I'm currently just getting started with electronics and hardware.

On the side, I always try to fix my own personal gear whenever something breaks instead of throwing it away. I also like picking up cheap electronics to restore for fun.

Hello. I am Razvan and trough some bad attention span while replacing the keyboard on my Asus laptop i pulled the connector off the MB. I need to be able to at least boot the laptop to use external keyboard to recover my data..

Hi guys, just decided to join your lovely forums. I found this place when I was searching for capacitors for replacing the bad GSCs that are on a board that a buddy from work gave me.

hola. i joined by recommendation of a reddit post to maybe be able to fix an issue with my grandpa's computer but i think it's out of anyone's ability now. ill stay though, just in case anything comes up in the future

Hi, Iam Jozef 67 from Poland, retired, I want back to my passion repair everythings . Its started 1973 on the lamps and when transistors started to be use instead lamps. I found this web site to be usufull for repair laptops.

Je m'appelle Nicolas, je suis de France et je suis passionné d'informatique, d'électronique et de réparation depuis de nombreuses années.

Je répare principalement des PC, des cartes mères de laptops, du matériel audio et divers appareils électroniques afin de comprendre leur fonctionnement et leur redonner une seconde vie. Je m'équipe progressivement en matériel de micro-soudure et j'essaie d'améliorer mes compétences en diagnostic au composant.

Je me suis inscrit sur Badcaps pour apprendre auprès de la communauté, échanger des connaissances et, lorsque je le pourrai, apporter moi aussi mon aide aux autres membres.

P.S. : Bon... pour être totalement honnête, si je me suis inscrit aujourd'hui, c'est aussi parce que j'ai fait un véritable carnage en dessoudant un IC à l'air chaud sur une carte mère de laptop. 😅 J'ai perdu quelques composants CMS au passage et j'ai maintenant désespérément besoin du schéma pour identifier leurs valeurs. Promis, j'espère bientôt pouvoir aider autant que demander !
