Hello everyone. My name is Alexander. Recently I started getting interested in electronics. Right now I'm browsing the forum to practice and learn on my own. At the moment I'm mostly experimenting with ESP32 or Arduino and different sensors, but I would like to try repairing a laptop as a starting project.

So far I’ve figured out that there is 5V present at the power input but with no current draw. There should probably also be 19V and 21V rails, but I will try to locate those as I continue troubleshooting.

    I’m still a beginner.

      Hello everyone,

My name is Santos and I’m based in Spain. I’ve been tinkering with electronics and computers for as long as I can remember. I’m one of those people who prefer to repair, reverse-engineer and understand things rather than just replace them.

My interests are mostly hardware-side: motherboard troubleshooting, power issues, firmware, BIOS/UEFI, and anything that involves schematics, dumps, and oscilloscopes. I enjoy digging into problems at component level and learning from real-world failures. Software is something I deal with mostly because hardware eventually leads you there.

Like many here, I’ve spent countless hours reading forums, experimenting, breaking things, and occasionally fixing them 🙂 I discovered Badcaps while researching hardware failures and quickly realised this is a place with serious knowledge and real hands-on experience.

I’m here to learn, share, and hopefully contribute when I can.

      Glad to be here.

          Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum and wanted to briefly introduce myself.
My name is Bolik, come from Poland but living near Berlin. I'm a programmer who programs robots and enjoys tinkering with electronics in my free time. I don't have much knowledge, so I hope this forum will help me if I have any questions.
Best regards to everyone and I wish you all the best.

                    Hello everyone,

I've joined this forum to learn about graphics card function/repair. Based in the US, I am formally a mech-E, but am interested in expanding my skillset

I look forward to sponging up as much knowledge from you all as possible.

                    Best,

                                  Hello everyone,

My name is from DrBoardFix, and I run a small electronics and laptop motherboard repair service based in Nairobi, Kenya. I mainly work on board-level laptop repairs including BIOS programming, power rail diagnostics, Type-C port repairs, and component-level troubleshooting.

I joined the forum to learn more from experienced technicians and also contribute where I can. Looking forward to sharing repair cases, learning new techniques, and improving my diagnostic skills.

Glad to be part of the community.
