Hello, I am an electronics enthusiast.

I've worked with rocket guidance systems and self-return tech as a job. But on here I'm just wanting some help with the consumer electronics I have.

        Thank you.

Oh hi! It's me I'm the problem. Well at least I'm invested way too deep in a project I thought that would be easy but I totally managed to F up. Lets see if the knowledge of this massive community and the soldering skills of someone in a apartment in rural Germany in the middle of the night can fix the mess

Hiya everyone! I'm VTX, you can just call me Vic or Victoria tho

Stumbled upon this place while looking for a bypass for one of my various laptops, and think it's pretty cool.

I've got quite the engineer's head, but I also have a very large collection of computers, everything from retro laptops to really niche devices like my Google Glass EE1, so who knows, I might be able to help some people out with niche tech.

Idrk what else to add, so yea, thats me

                          Hi all,

I’m Viktor from KSA. I joined Badcaps because I’m interested in electronics repair and want to learn more about troubleshooting and board repair. I found the forum while searching for help with schematics, and I’m glad to be here.

I’m still learning, but I have some experience with basic soldering / multimeter use / repairing PCs, monitors, power supplies, etc.. Looking forward to reading, learning, and participating in the forum.

                          Thanks!

Hey guys, what's up! Just dropping by to introduce myself.

I'm writing from Spain and I love tinkering with broken hardware. I'm not a pro by any means—I have a multimeter, an oscilloscope, and I know my way around a soldering iron for basic stuff, but advanced micro-soldering or BGA is still a bit out of my league right now, haha.

I actually found this forum because I'm jumping into a fun/crazy project: I'm trying to revive an ASRock RX 6800 XT Phantom Gaming. The previous owner told me it died from a spark when plugging in the HDMI cable. I'm a good guy, so I actually told him to test the DisplayPort first before selling it to me as junk so he wouldn't lose money, lol. But it looks like it's dead, so I'm taking the risk!

I was looking for boardviews and realized the exact ASRock one is super hard to find, so I'm planning to use an Asus RX 6800 XT one as a reference to track down the blown 5V fuse or ESD chip. That search led me straight to Badcaps.

Anyway, it looks like this is the holy grail for electronics repair. I'm really glad to be here and I'm hoping to learn a lot from you all.

                                    Cheers!

                                      Hello from Australia,

I've come across your forum looking for board views and I'm pleasantly surprised that there's an active community of people helping each other with hardware repair. I'm interested in tinkering with, repairing and reverse engineering consumer hardware. I hope to be able to contribute!

                                      Cheers,
