Hi Everybody,
I hope you all are doing great,
Just a little bit about me, I'm currently living in the Republic of Ireland. I like to tinker with laptops, installing apps, updating RAM and thinks like that, not an IT expert by any means.
Now here is where I'm stuck at:
I recently got an HP Elitebook 645 G11, AMD processor and RAM 32GB. I want to replace the current Windows OS with Ubuntu. But the BIOS is locked with a password, and I can't boot from an external USB to install the Linux distro.
I've seen laptop hardware technicians taking out a small chip and reprograming it, that wipes the existing password and allows to get into the BIOS.
Mind me ask you please, is there a way to crack/bypass this without the need of getting that deep into the motherboard?
Thank you in advance,
