I've heard about "universal main boards" for TVs, is there such a thing and perhaps I can adapt one of these to a TV with a bad main board?
I suspect most of these "universal main boards" are for LED TVs so I'd have to convert it for CCFL which probably means I'm keeping the old PSU. But will the existing tcon take the signal from one of these "universal" boards if they exist?
Searching ali points to such thing but I don't know if these really work or not...
Incidentally I have a RCA TV's mainboard, wonder what the chances are of getting it to work with a Sony TV, and no I don't care if I have to cut more holes in the back panel, as long as I can use the TV once more
