I have a PN-LE701 that turns itself back on almost exactly 65 seconds after being turned off. I have done a hard reset, factory reset and updated the firmware by USB, all to no avail. I called Sharp and they said they have experienced this quite a few times and just replaced the main board. Once, a factory reset corrected the problem but only once. Any help appreciated.

Re: Sharp PN-LE701 turns itself on
if none of the usual works, look over the solder joints on powerboard very closely, resolder any that look a little suspect being careful not to bridge anything, maybe also suspect the start up capacitors by the connector on powerboard where the cable from powerboard to mainboard is located, example of bad solder joints there in case anyone needs it: https://www.google.com/search?q=bad+...ih=607&dpr=1.5Comment

Re: Sharp PN-LE701 turns itself on
I thought it could be the PS. I had a Vizio that would turn itself off and a new PS solved that but hte the sharp technicians said that only changing the Main board solves the problem- if you have 200 bucks to waste on a main board. ThanksComment

when I have encountered such symptoms, most every time the powerboard was the culprit.Comment

Re: Sharp PN-LE701 turns itself on
well then you solved your own riddle, choices are buy another mainboard, program a new nand chip or buy one already programmed if available.Comment

Re: Sharp PN-LE701 turns itself on
Well we got fooled. When the problem first appeared we changed the NAND chip and that did not solve the problem so after much thought and testing we found the "new" NAND was not working and replaced it with another new chip which solved the problem.Comment

Re: Sharp PN-LE701 turns itself on
How did you replace and program the NAND chip? Did you just solder on a blank NAND chip and flash the firmware?
Thanks!Comment

by mastermTV: JVC LT-43C888 (purchased in 2018). This is a smart TV with Netflix, Youtube, Freeview and other applications via 'Viewd' app store
Problem with TV:
- Netflix stopped working so i tried to do factory reset from the TV menu.
- I confirmed on-screen but the factory reset did not happen even. It did not take me to 'first-time installation' screen as mentioned in the manual.
- After waiting for some time, the TV went into a boot loop.
- JVC logo comes on the screen and LED light flashes for some seconds, then it reboots again and the same thing happens

by mon2Hello. Have a 55" Hisense TV that starts to load the Android OS (no backlight issues) -> reaches the app screen where you can view the assorted icons including Netflix and always crashes at the same point just after this launch. If I quickly press the cursor buttons, the cursor can navigate to the settings menu but will power off just after a few seconds of this activity. Do not believe it is power related since the crash is very accurate in the boot cycle.
After the OS 'crashes', the power does go off and the from white LED goes dark for about 20 seconds and then ON again.... -

, Hi! In the normal startup process, my pc's power led will turn on, the hdd led will flash brightly for a moment, then beeps once and you would know that everything is starting up fine. But recently, it will just flash dimly(sometimes too dim to see) and then nothing, no beep to show it is posting but the psu is on and all fans/hdds/peripherals/usb are on, even the lan port is flashing. Luckily, I discovered that pressing the reset button after the power button will initiate the post (the hdd led will flash brightly, beeps once and everything starts up fine),... -
by pfrcomSome Googling made this seem straightforward, but it ain't necessarily so:
First try was Hynix Drive Manager, supposed to be able to do PSID reset
In Win7 x86 context, what shoddy software – this greeted me first time I clicked it from Start menu:
After wild goose chase triggered by the OpenGL bit, I tried swapping graphics cards until penny dropped when it still objected to a Radeon HD3450
How I got it work:
1. Command prompt
2. Change to install directory \Program Files\SK Hynix Drive Manager
