example there, caution to anyone who may want to do this, it WILL NOT WORK, unless you have them on both sides of the tv, NEVER peel them off both sides, always make sure you do it to the bad side and obviously it is not reversible, notice how he goes nice and slow: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2inGB2T4D4w

I had a stiff drink, took a deep breath and mustered the courage to peel off the six COFs
on the right-side of the screen. I powered the television on, fully expecting it to say "RIP" but to my delight it displayed a perfect picture. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Davi.P and nomoresonys for excellent advice.

where are the point you are happy with ? you fond the issue if he did the damage him self..
to all read this threat don't remove and we will never saw any before to remove them on hisense TV. when you damaged them which you didn't say that you took it apart before to replace BK LED give to us many stories not only COF but panel self damage.

I'm always happy to keep something out of the landfill Diah, not sure if he damaged them from working on the tv or not but I can tell from the picture that the cof is burnt. I'm sure you have seen symptoms just like this one that pertains to your description in post #10, one problem can resemble another, keeps it interesting I suppose, I don't doubt your abilities, maybe some dumber members might, I have seen your wizardry.

                  Further update -
One thing I have noticed after watching the television is that colours on the side without the tabs is a little “washed out”. I believe this has been mentioned before but I wanted to reiterate it. To be honest, it’s a small price to pay to get my tv working again.

What’s the logic behind this "repair"? If the panel can work with just half of side COFs, why they install the others? They could save some bucks per panel.

No doubt it’s an improvement over initial situation but I’m reluctant to admit that the panel is working "as new".

Usually there is a slight sign of misuniformity running from one side to the other..

Please advice how to filter out home users, repairers for profit, resellers and so on.
How to share the info with good guys and hide it from bad guys?

BTW, misleading bad guys with wrong advice is also unethical. Better to say nothing.

Hisense H55U7BUK - slow to load image
                              by djmka
I have a Hisense 55" H55U7BUK television which has a very strange issue. When you first turn it on the the Hisense logo page appears as expected, then an image appears with the top 25% of the screen displaying correctly and the remaining 75% as if the T-Con is faulty (i.e. it has vertical lines). The screen then starts to recover the missing 75% line by line, taking a minute or so, until you end up with a great picture (please see attached photos). FYI - I've tried replacing the T-Con board but get the same results.
Has anyone seen this type of issue before?...

Testing ATX PSUs under load - Does loading the ATX 24 pin also load EPS & PCIE?
                              by AJ847.63e
                              Hi Folks,

Just wanted to clear up a misunderstanding of mine (or what I expect is one). Isn't the 12V rail from the 24 pin, EPS and PCIE separated? IE if I put a power resistor on the ATX 12V pin that is not going to load, thus tell me if the EPS or PCIE rails are fine?

I was recently watching ArIs from Hardware Busters video on how to properly test ATX PSUs without using 5 figure Croma substations.

The PCB adapter he used breaks out the 12, 5 and 3.3V pins from the 24 pin and gives you banana plugs to connect to. That is a bit useless is it not? Aren't...

Hisense H8G not turning on, only slow blinking white LED
                              by frannyjunk
These Hisense H8G series (or Q8G if you are in Canada) tv appears to have a common failure of the main board. Many posts on Reddit without a solution. Mine is a 55" tv hence the 55H8G model (TV comes in 50, 55, 65 and 75". Corresponding models are 50H8G, 55H8G, 65H8G and 75H8G). Symptom is that the tv will not turn on, only a slow blinking white LED near the on button on the tv. Has anyone found a repair for the main board? I can buy a replacement main board, but would prefer to repair my main board. Thanks.
