easy test, make sure the tv is unplugged from power, unhook cable from powerboard to mainboard, plug power cord into powerboard, plug into outlet,
see if backlights come on and stay on, always make cable connections with tv unplugged from power to avoid and errant surges that could happen.Last edited by nomoresonys; 05-18-2022, 01:45 PM.Comment

Hi there is only one power lead coming from the powerboard and its going to the mainboard so when i disconnect the lead there is no power going to anythinkAttached Filesif you find these attachements useful please consider making a small donation to the site

If that doesn't work, you can monitor led voltage. If voltage is stable, then it's probably not backlights.I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.Comment

Hello everyone, I’ve just been given a Samsung UE55JU6800K smart tv as it had white spots on the screen due to the led lenses falling off. After refitting them & putting the tv back together I thought it was a nice easy fix for a free bedroom tv , then I tried it before screwing the back into place. I realised that the right side of the screen was darker than the other side, I removed the screen again as I thought the backlights had failed but they are fine.
I put the screen back in place & turned it back on . The screen seemed to be ok again but different screens on the same... -
I have an HP model : 14-cf0011nf and I want to change its display screen (it has an original 14" full HD TN 30 pins panel) which works without problem but I want to put another screen with an IPS panel, the problem is that I tried several screens but there is no display except with the original screen, I never had this problem before I changed hundreds without problems but this PC is not 'accepted than its original screen
otherwise on the motherboard it displays edp and I don't know, do the panels I tried only work with the LVDS protocol?

Hi , I've recently replaced the screen in my Samsung galaxy ao2s, at first it wouldn't even turn on, it had the charging symbol on the screen when plugged in but the green circle wasn't going around to show it charging....
Ive eventually managed to get it on and working but it's very temperamental...
The battery icon always reads as 50% , when the phone goes into lock screen mode i sometimes can't get the screen back on unless I plug the charger in to get it to light up, also it keeps putting the camera app on.. u think it could be something to do with the side buttons. ...05-26-2024, 12:05 AM -
I have a Dick Smith 37" LCD TV, Model GE6804. I am using it as PC extended monitor only.
Problem is while watching tv, I hear a semi loud click(like a electrical breaker tripping due to overload, just sound like it but no actual electrical overload), then screen is covered with green or pink. I can still see the original picture image but overlayed by green or pink. See attached images. Pink.jpg is what I see, and Normal.jpg is before green or pink screen, What I captured was pink screen, but about 80% of time it's green and 20% of time it's pink.

Friend sent me this picture of what their 60" Samsung from 2015 is doing. I didn't have any luck getting rid of a vertical stripe in another TV that developed one so I'm not too excited about trying to fix this one. It's mine for the asking; wish it had a dead power supply or bad backlights instead.
Is this most likely to be a connection at the circuit board or where the ribbon cable hits the screen itself?
Update: was just informed that this stripe comes and goes and has been doing this for a couple of months.
