    Sony KDL-49WD757 - Only logo and black screen

    Hello. I have a Sony KDL-49WD757 (2016 model) that shows only SONY logo after turning on. Or rather it turns on as soon as i connect it to the wall socket. (I don't have a remote for this model, only for some older one and i'm not sure if its compatible) It displays it for 3-4 seconds and then it disappears and I'm left with empty black screen with just backlight on.
    What could be the issue?

    The led at the bottom is constant white. It reacts when i press for example power button at the back of the tv but the TV doesnt turn off. It blinks as long as I press the button and stops when I let it go but nothing more than that. It also blinks when I press some buttons on the remote. It's like it's frozen on this empty black screen

    try firmware update/pair thru usb drive.

      Thanks. I've downloaded the firmware but I don't know if there is any special procedure I have to do to apply it? I've connected a 32GB USB flashdrive with firmware folder on it, turned the TV on but nothing happened

          ok, looking at the procedure, it might not work, some older kdl sonys will auto update, looks like you might need the remote to do yours.

            Thanks for the answer. I've bought a replacement remote that should work. But, should i navigate to the update menu with nothing displaying? I can try at least

            I'll post an update in the coming days, as we have a long weekend here

              worth a try, can't really mess anything up, might be able to find it blind, might be really tough tho.
