I posted my efforts in the Nov 20 post in this thread using various resistors. I read somewhere that the R ribbon cable was a mirror of the L ribbon cable so I went back to trying to mask the R ribbon cable and finally got some success. Through trial and error I found that covering pins 13 – 24 on the R ribbon cable got me the best results. I can turn off and on the TV with the remote and get a picture and sound without boot loop. Unfortunately, I get the dreaded color fade from left to right in the picture now. I haven't seen any resistors on the main-board that look like good candidates to change R values with. Masking the Right Ribbon cable is the only way I have been able to bring it back to “normal”. Masking the Left Ribbon cable didn't work. If you have any ideas how I could eliminate the Color Fade from left to right on the picture, I would greatly appreciate it. I have enclosed a couple of pictures of my “progress”. Thanks again and Happy New Year to everyone.
If you have the same model, did you try changing the same resistor, it's not clear what method you tried.

Hello nomoresonys, Thank you for responding to my post. I do have the same model and I did try changing R13246 with values up to 100K ohm (please see my post #17 dated Nov 20 on this thread). I even tried masking the area of pin Possible prob on a Gigabyte board on the L ribbon cable without any luck. I am of the persuasion that the fault for my TV lies in the Right side buffer boards rather than the left side as experienced by itelite. The only way I can get a partially working TV is by masking the R ribbon cable, not the Left ribbon cable. Regards,

I have no idea where "Possible prob on a Gigabyte board" in blue came from in my previous post!

Hello again, I did some more testing with masking off pins and was able to identify the boot loop pin on the right ribbon cable. It turns out that pin 23 is the problem and when taped over, the TV turns on normally. It does however have a degraded picture that looks like burn in. With more testing I discovered that I could uncover all other pins except 19 or 20. With 23 still covered, if I cover 19 I will get very little color fade but I get fine lines and the appearance of burn in on the right side of the tv. If I cover 20 the color fades somewhat but not as much as when I covered all 13 - 24 pins and I don't get the "burn in" appearance. I decided to go with covering Pins 23 and 20 and live with the color fade. I wish I could find a trouble component like itelite but at this time, I feel this is better than nothing.

Samsung UN60EH6000F Black Screen, Backlight and Sound Good. Power Cycle Returns Picture
            by Mgiffune
I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

I ordered a supposedly ‘new' Tcon board this time, and

Samsung UE60KU6079 backlight okay mainboard responsive, no picture, no sound
            by Ierwin
            Hello everyone,
Ive got a UE60KU6079 on the workbench that is giving me some headaches trying to troubleshoot.
The previous owner stated that there had been white dots on the screen which from the description sounded like some lenses fell of the backlight LEDs.
He had opened the TV from the back, trying to get to the backlight, supposedly gave up, reassebled everything and gave the TV to me.
I expected the worst like ripped COF cables or a cracked panel but could not find anything like that yet.
Anyway I still fully expect that there has been something seriously damaged...

T-con suspect issue. Both ribbon cables no picture. One ribbon cable ok. (58pus8545)
            by Tr0ll
Hi guys! I realized you have a lot of knowledge here so i am hoping you could point me in right direction with my odd issue.

The Tv is a Philips 58PUS8545/12, it had no picture but working backlights.

            Original T-con:
Opened the Tv and tested to unplug one ribbon cable at a time. With this test i could see that i got fine picture on both halves as long as there was only one ribbon cable connected, with two connected picture were gone.

            First replacement T-con:

I thought it might be t-con and ordered new t-con from china(supposedly tested)...

SAMSUNG UN55KS9000F picture fades then distorts into vertical lines after 20 seconds
            by JJAAMM
This was my main TV for the last 6 years. I'm not inclined to throw out a $2600 TV so quickly so I'm trying to investigate the issue.

            Problem
TV was disconnected from power for 6 months during construction. When I plugged it yesterday picture was fine, after 30 seconds it dimmed then started developing horizontal lines, picture then starts to ghost vertically until it degrades into vertical streaks. TV always displays a perfect picture when cold. I can unplug TV for 5 minutes and plug it back in and picture is restored for 20 seconds. I can also keep it in standby mode...

Samsung UN50TU8000 - Dead Panel Forensic Questions
            by KYBOSH
I came across a 50inch TU8000 that wouldnt start up properly (blinking stand-by light, backlights would cycle on and off).

When i opened it up and removed the power to the mainboard the backlights powered up and everything looked uniform.
When reconnected the mainboard but disconnected the flex cable to the panel i heard the TV startup with the intro sound.

Later I checked for shorts on the panel PCB boards but could not find anything.
When I took a look with the FLIR i noticed the 2 resistors...
