Samsung UN48J5200AFXZA tv, no picture or sound

Hello all. I have a Samsung 48” tv that has no picture or sound. Looking for some assistance on diagnosing my problem so that I can repair it.
The facts:
Random day the screen went black. I had sound for a couple minutes, then it went out also.
The red standby light comes on. But still nothing powers up.
*So my main question is where do I go from here? I'm familiar with testing with a multimeter. Maybe someone can point me in the right direction for testing or repairs. I've checked a couple websites like shopjimmy and electro-parts, so the boards in the tv are available.

Testing for Samsung TVs

1. Unplug the cable between the power supply and main board and plug the TV in. The backlights should come on. If they don't, you likely have bad backlights though bad backlights can damage the power supply.
2. Connect one ribbon cable at a time between the tcon and panel and see if one side displays a good image. If one side is bad, there is a panel fault on that side.
