Philips PUH6101 (TPL16.1E LA) Backlight repair

    Hello everyone!

I need some help with identifying the LED SMD types on this TV's backlight strips.

Two strips showing very little dim light, so I want to solder new LED SMD's on those, but I'm not sure which size of SMD's I need to order.

I tried to find LEDs for this TV model, but I only found complete strips which are expensive:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/274433220409

Based on the pictures it's 3V 3535 or maybe 3528 LEDs?
    Like these:
    https://www.banggood.com/50PCS-High-...N&rmmds=search

I want to make sure I order the correct LEDs but sadly I don't have phisical access to the TV at the moment so I can't identify it further.

    Thanks in advance!

Desolder. Look at pads. Big pad and small pad polarity. Measure dimensions.
I assume no responsibility for any stupid suggestions I might post.

I have a strip from a different Philips TV here and they are 3535, however the bit that lights is smaller than your banggood listing. Having the wrong shape/size could possibly cause an extra glow on the screen due to the lens shape.

before 4 weeks i got Philips, with bad led.. i found 2 are burned.. they were with out zener diode.. i just have from other tv brand same as 3V with out zener diode cut them and stick them at the defect one.

you have circle test point between each LED on the strip with them you can test which one defect.

            Thank you everyone!

Wish I could check the LEDs on the TV but the guy wanted it back for a few weeks, so he has a TV

I wonder If it's 3535 size. Should I order in that size?

You can get them on AliExpress or cut up a strip to use.

I contacted a few sellers on ebay and on aliexpress regarding the LED sizes on their strips I hope they will tell me... Wish I could access to the TV to check them.

It doesn't matter what the size is. Only the voltage. You are not putting them on the original pads.

RCA RLDED 4331B: 43 inch LED TV: Backlight issue
                      by lmcancu
Hi I am having an issue with the LED backlight of this TV. I can see the picture with a flash light, so I determined it was a backlight issue.

Initially, after opening it I found 2 shorted and 1 open LED on 2 strips (total of 4). I removed the LEDs and shorted the pads together to verify if the backlight would work.

Testing it, I found the backlight turned on and I measured 54V when TV was in standby (off), and 100v when TV was turned on. The 4 strips each contain 9 LEDs, so 36 in all minus 3.

Instead of putting it back together I decided to replace...

About replacing individual LEDS on BL strips
                      by edugimeno
                      Hi There!
Having fixed 5-6 TV sets by replacing full LED strips, and having watched other people fix that by replacing just one LED in the strip, my question now is what should I consider before doing so.

At this time I have some old strips removed from TV's with all but one LED working. Are there different voltage/current LED on different strips? Are 99% of them just the same and interchangeable?

How do you find which specific model is needed for each strip? When I check if a LED is OK by attaching the multimeter leads to the individual led pads on the strips I...

LED problem on samsung UE55F6475, 2 strips work. The rest is flashing every second.
                      by Kingfreddie
                      Ok.. this is the story:
Have an old Samsung LED 3D TV (UE55F6475). First it started to lose light on the lower 40% of the screen now and then. Like for 10-60 mins and then it would work again. Then a bit later it just got stuck in that position. The lower 40% of the screen is dark, and it gets progressively darker the lower u go so it's obviously that LED strips where not working. I also looked for similar errors online and saw an exact copy and on that one it was faulty LED strips.

This is kinda how it looked, just that mine were at the bottom of the screen:

                      ...

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
                      by Pipolups
                      Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...
