    Re: LG Plasma Again

When you get a chance list the board part numbers for y, z, and power supply ( on the white sticker on the board) and I will check them against mine. I did find the pdp42v6 on scribd gave great diag for boards with no picture, but you need a scope for it and stated 200mhz or better ( I was looking for this cause I only have a 100mhz)
Mine does ok most of the time for what I need.

Is it worth checking under the Ysys IC?

So no we're back at no image. Vy, Vsetup and Vscw are at around the right values but they seem to oscillate. Like Vscw is 115, 111, 120, 114v, etc. Any ideas.

I'm new to the forum but here is a self repair on a zSUS much like the russian one given earlier in this thread.

This is a rebadged LG-42 IISONIC.

os your issue is in the ysustain still.. one board no workee but cool, another board works but runs hot, its in the y i would guess.

man, i thought i was the only unlucky one to have an lg nightmare..

does your set have smd transistors on the buffer boards off of the ysus? if so it might be worth checking those to make sure they arent shorted and causing repeated failure of your ysus..

When these ipms fail there are almost always other issues and not just ipm failure.

Two things must happen for a catastrophy!

It happens inside the back of an L/G alot.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

                      Assuming...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

                      Hi everyone!
I happened several times, in the search for help from the web, to consult this very interesting forum.
So I decided to sign up and I intend to participate actively by making available my knowledge and experience on the subject, I'm a new user but at the same time I'm old in the sense that I have 4 decades of experience in repairing and designing electronics but above all I'm a great passionate about the subject.

Having said that I come to the gist of my post on the forum as the title suggests.
For my passion for technology I'm now collecting several...

Hey all, want to poke the hive mind here for a technology I must be missing something critical about I can't discern from looking at spec sheets alone.

I have an ATGames Legends Pinball machine, the playfield is a 32" LCD Display. I'm trying to attach an LCD controller to it for direct PC access, as others have been successful.

The LCD is a SPLENDID CD320B01A-350 (I think it's a custom panel for ATGames as google turns up nothing), which is mated to a HV320FHB-N02 (47-6021088) T-CON board (this is probably the important component anyhow)

                      The LCD...
