So my rock solid p65 (lol) got stuck with a auto firmware update stuck at 20% for a few hours, finally had to hold down power button, tv is now in the logo reboot loop, cycles about every 25 seconds. the buttons on the back of the tv do not seem to function, i tried loading firmware with no luck... nothing is recognized.
in my course of research i think that the eeprom u202 got corrupt during the failed update, i have reached out to vizio, but not hopeful as tv is long out of warranty. Wonder if vizio would at least send me the .bin file for the u202 chip
I have been scouting main boards, but feel pretty confident it is the u202 eeprom it just needs the bios loaded on it.
so can i exact the bios for the u202 from the vizio firmware that is .utv file format. i need a .bin rom dump of the u202 chip (i think).... i don't think the oven trick will help in this case, attached is the screenshot of the u202
