Got it. Thanks for the clarification. I'll give that a try today.

No shorts on the data lines. With the jumper in place, the behavior of the TV is the same with both LVDS connected, left connected only, right connected only and both disconnected . . . 1-2 second flash of the standby light with about 15 ~ 18 seconds between flashes. Same as before.

Disconnect the wi-fi module, also check these contacts for resistance to ground (LAN).

No change with WiFi disconnected - The jumper is still installed on the LVDS - should I remove that?

The LAN IC (0524P) doesn't have any shorts (except the center pin 3 which is the ground pin . . .

I hooked a 13V power supply up to the main board and measured voltages on the coils - some are steady and some drop to 0 as the board power cycles. . . . The board was not connected to the TV when I took the measurements. Not sure if this is helpful

One other possible clue - The audio amplifier IC (TAS5749M) has a warm, not hot, spot in one corner . . . .that comes and goes as the board powers up and down.

lotas - Anything else I can try on this board or is it unrepairable?

Check with this table (voltage / resistance), the problem may be in the eeprom 24C512 firmware or in the eMMC, maybe in the processor itself, I'll dump dump 25c512 for diagnostics...
Only your dump (24C512) must be saved.

The measurements were made without a jumper (no t-con output voltages)?

                          Correct - no jumper.

It is necessary with a jumper to see the remaining voltages.

OK. I'll add the jumper back and test again. Thanks for your patience.

Voltages and resistances are the same with the jumper in place.

This chassis also had problems with the crystal falling off the substrate, remove the radiator and blow on the crystal with a soldering station for 30 seconds at a temperature of 200-250C.

I'll check the panel number when I get back to the house tomorrow. I'll try reflowing the crystals first and if that doesn't help, I'll try the main processor . . .

I already replaced it with another one to fix the machine but i want to try understand the issue with the old board.
Therefore i hope to be able to get some help to explain what to check in order to troubleshoot.

I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

Hi, I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue before I give up on this TV.

In short, I replaced the T-CON board due to an error code indicating that was the problem, after which it flashed a green and orange LED meaning software update required. I cannot get the tv to do the required update via USB, so I am stuck.

Here is a rundown of the symptoms and the steps I have taken to troubleshoot:

I inherited the TV with the symptom that it would turn on, then turn off after 5-10 seconds and a red LED flashed 4 or 5 times. Sometimes it would be 4, sometimes...

Hello, the DSLR has heavyly fallen. It is dead : no sign of life and display nothing.

When it worked, it always displayed a card present state on LCD display, even when the battery is empty it display a empty battery symbol.
I found a dead fuse, I replaced it and a mosfet burnt, I changed it and another fuse burned. Nothing burned after. And I can't find any short circuit anywhere, it's weird.

Now, I try to understand how it works.

There is two boards (the little one on pictures has no component) : the first is a « power board » : managing...

                                            Hello everybody,

This is my first post here, I've always loved to tinker with electronics, but never got in-depth with it. Hope I can learn a thing or two from this forum.

I've got a 31.5" Asus monitor which distorts/flickers at equal intervals of a couple of seconds. From what I've gathered, it's an issue with the T-CON board, but feel free to correct me. Shipping from the manufacturer would cost 3x as much as the part itself. I was wondering, if there is a way to diagnose the board itself and replace the faulty components? I'm good with soldering, but not at all...
