    Are you still active here? Our TV backlight works with MB disconnected. I can upload from eeprom for fix maybe?

        I tried to read it but says device disconnected or defective so i cant read it! New MB need to order

          How do you read dump, using a clothespin or through an adapter, which programmer, post a photo of how it is connected to your programmer...

            Its on a CH341A (ive flashed loads of BIOS with it) - just this one doesnt want to read. Dont use the clip or anything, always desolder and solder to the programmer board

              The chip actually gets hot while reading too on the PC. I switched it to 3.3v and still cant be read

                be sure you installed the chip in correct way... pin 8 should be at 3.3V

                    if it at time installed at MB didn't get hot,,, i will prefer install it back and use clip.. other wise it will be expensive repair

                        I dont have clip for this. This is an old programmer. I do have new MB coming tomorrow would like to repair this and then return board

                                Okay the pads on the adapter was slightly broken. Only missing about 1mm or less! I have jumped it and got the dump now Sorry!

                                  Try it, don’t forget about the register status (0x88, 0x42) after writing the corrected dump.

                                        Yes, neoprogrammer is exactly what you need for this.
                                        In the program:
                                        1. Click "Detect Chip" and select W25Q40CL and "Select IC".
                                        2. Click "Unprotect".
                                        3. Click "Clear IC" and "Yes".
                                        4. Click "Open File" and select your corrected dump.
                                        5. Press "Program IC" and "Yes".
                                        6. Click "Verify IC".
                                        7. Press the down arrow to the right of "Unprotect" and select "SREG Edit", put a check mark on SRP0, BP1, CMP, QE and press "Write" and "Yes"
                                        7. Close the program. Ready.​
