Hi all, so I have a 2012 Panasonic TC-P50UT50 with the 13 lights flashing (confirmed a dozen times it's 13 flashes and not 14 flashes). Google (and repair documentation) say it's a A Board replacement. The TV is turning off and on on it's own and now and then clicking, with some weird lines horizontally.
I have already gone ahead and replaced the whole TV with a new 2021 model (for my wife, it's hers in the living room), but I am extremely bored these days with camping season over, so I would like to try and take this on and try and repair it.
I have some experience at fixing consoles, and other electronics needing soldering (not phones yet), but this will be my first crack at a Plasma TV.
Replacement A boards are nearly impossible to find, and those available are just not worth buying, (especially with me being in Canada) so my thoughts are to remove the A board and actually try and see if I can find out what went wrong.
My question is, although I know the SC boards have been fixed by many, has anyone ever fixed an A board on one of these.
I have not taken the back off yet, but curious what I could be in for.
To clarify, I don't expect to fix this, mere practice and something to do, but hey I would like to at least try.
Thanks for any help.
