This is why you buy a warranty on new tvs today. Costco doubles the manufacturers warranty. A lot of the tvs they sell have a 2 year warranty and they double it to 4 years. WISE BUY. I personally wouldn't buy a new tv unless it has at least a 4 year warranty.

this is not a job for a beginner, must make practice with 32 inches , if them are used in your country..

Haha take your tampon out. The tv was a free so why not attempt to fix it. That's why we're all here right.

Replaced the led strips and I guess I wasn’t gentle enough and it appears I cracked the panel. Am I right?

How is this a bad method? I'm eliminating all the variables. If it works, great, if not, no big deal. I'm not going to cry over $50.

It's 100% nothing to do with any of the color settings. I've tried a million variations but the issue still remains. Next step is to order led lights. I'll keep everyone posted. Thanks all.

Much probably bad backlight, must check power supply output tensions for the leds, must be in the range, if not it can ruin the led phosphors by too much tension. If those are ok so are bad leds.

Yes they do but I have never found a samsung with that fault. Mostly vestels and LG. The picture will get blueish but I don't think this is the case.

The led strips could cause the color discrepancy? Am I wrong to assume the leds only assisted in fixing dark spots on the screen.

Samsung SyncMaster 740n Phase Control Issue
    by vincentedel
    Hello,
I'm having an issue with the Samsung 740n's phase control setting. When I use the automatic adjustment, it sets the value to around 54 (with a range of 0-100), and the picture looks clear and sharp. However, after some time—like after playing a game—the text starts to look blurry. When I auto-adjust again, it may increase the value to 80, and everything becomes sharp once more. Yet, after a while, whether it's a few hours or a day later, the same blurriness returns, and I have to adjust it again.

I'm using the Samsung 740n monitor drivers instead of the default plug-and-play...

    QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV Issue
    by Manucsl
    Hello.

My TV is a QE65Q800TATXXC Samsung TV.

Issue : When you plug the 220V, voltages are OK on the power board and you can hear the click from the relay, but TV is not starting when power button is pressed. Red led is blinking when you press power button. But no images or sound ( Back-light is off )
Then if you disconnect the cable from the main board to the power supply, the TV back-light turns on.
Any ideas to check would be very appreciated 😊

After reading some posts on this forum, I suspect an eeprom issue so I bought a CH341A to dump...

    Display issue Samsung TV UA65JS9000W
    by FourRunner
I purchased a used Samsung TV model UA65JS9000W recently knowing it had an issue with the screen. When switched on the picture was bright both sides of the screen but a little darker in the middle of the screen. Thinking this was the back lights (side mounted LCD strips) I replaced these, however the issue is still there. I am now thinking it may be a TCOM issue, but am not sure, any advice on this would be appreciated. Also whilst changing out the back lights I noticed the the thick clear plastic sheet (maybe 1.5 to 2mm thick) below the diffusers there is cracking (up to 75mm) on the sides and...

Samsung UE48JU7000 screen issue after backlight replacement
    by ScHAmPi
    Hi all,

Because of two bright spots and a couple of dark spots I decided to replace the backlights in my Samsung UE48JU7000. See attached photos:

I thought all went well, but after full assembly and testing it out it turns out not all is fine. The backlights are completely fine but I have some weird issues on the right half of the screen. Since I didn't really touch the T-CON board (apart from taking out the ribbons of the display and reconnecting them on assembly) it would be weird that the issue is with the T-CON board... But based on the behavior of the service...
