    Vizio 32" ~ Picture OK but appx. 2 minute delay with the audio

    Picked up this 32" Vizio (Model # E320VA) that acquires a picture a few seconds after startup (a little slow, but nothing completely out of the ordinary), but the audio is delayed every time I start it up by approximately 2 minutes. Then, the sound always comes on.

    I haven't taken off the back and looked at any of the boards yet because I am still trying a few different combinations of inputs and the amount of time I leave it in the off position before firing it up again.

    Just wondering here, initially, if anyone has seen this before and has an easy explanation for such a consistent inconsistency.

      Quick update:

      This last time, it took almost 10 minutes for the audio to come on. A bit strange considering how the first 6 or 7 times I turned it on it took almost exactly 2 minutes each of those times. Still, the same basic problem exists and any advice on how to fix it or what to look for would be much appreciated. Will open it up soon. Thanks.

          Check the voltage from the power supply feeding the audio section.
          Willing to help but I'm no expert.

              There is a min board repair kit at SJ that might solve the problem, it might just be an eeprom problem or it might require the whole kit (3 ic's)

                  Well, I opened this one up and found only 10.1v on a couple of pins that should have been 12v. There were two nearby caps 470uf 25v and a 470uf 35v) that we’re both bulging. Replaced both w/ 2 470uf 35v caps I had in the collection and now both the picture and the sound is up and running on all 4 HDMI ports and on the component ports as well.

                  Pretty easy and quick fix. Thanks for the help on this one, guys. It is always appreciated!

                      I replaced the backlights all good. Two months later set was dead, had a shorted D9100, replaced all good again.
                      Now months later set powers up,backlights light ok,no picture. 12volts missing from fuse on tcon. 12VA on power
                      supply is 19 volts. Changed D9100 again, same, 12 volts measures 19. Am I looking at a power supply or mainboard
                      issue. Set will power up with remote but not power off....

                      Hello, i am working on Vizio M70-C3. It can hardly power on, it takes 15 power button presses or remote. Seems like eeprom problem that I seen before but all reading online says that this tv has power board or main board problem.

                      When tv powers on vizio V logo shows nice on whole screen. picture 1

                      Hello ,
                      The issue with this set is that it turn on just fine and after a minute or so the picture shows either vertical lines or turns half black and from that point on starts a boot loop.
                      If a let the unit to cool down for a minute the same pattern starts again. i had exactly the same mainboard as a spare and replaced it but nothing changed.

                      Any ideas what to check?...

                      Vizio M65-E0 No Picture, No Sound

                      Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

                      HI all,
                      hope someone point to the possible issue before I start buying replacement parts.
                      Tv starts normal and responds to remote fine, PSU voltages mesured fine 19v was 18.9V under load and 19V with main board disconnected.
                      Backlight stays on all the time,
                      Sound works fine.
                      screen keeps changing form black to full picture in about 1sec intervals.
                      Picture looks fine with no visible artifacts.
                      I have disconnected backlights and flashlight test confirmed that picture is still doing the same.


                      Disconnecting left and right ribbons on...
