Samsung UN455D6050 multiple failures

Confirming diagnosis here

TV presented with no screen activity. Front LED responds to sense / touch...and remote. Flashlight shows no screen activity

Tested the edge strips and one side had failed. Bought a new set (left and right) from SJ and replaced them. When done the tv turns on (backlight only) for maybe 10 seconds. Then shuts off by itself. Continuous loop.

When i disconnect main from TCON, same behavior
When i disconnect main from PS, backlight turns on and stays on
When i disconnect one side of TCON to panel, i get one 1/2 white screen, so some panel activity

I am thinking at this point this is likely a main board issue?

The D model years have issues with the flash. Try freezing with upside down duster it before plugging in. I avoid D model years because of this and too old in the smart features and in general.

Thanks neilc6. Would you know if they have flash chips for this?? I looked and couldn't find for specific model

I just noticed the thread title has the wrong model number. My TV is Samsung UN55D6050
