    More likely to be panel.
You need to open up the back and see if the T-CON, tab bonding boards are on the bottom edge of the LCD panel or not.
Did anyone spray the screen with cleaner to clean the screen?

Just the home screen that was shown in the original picture. That is kinda what lead me to believe it wasn't a panel issue. Thoughts?

Re: Lg 65UH655O BARS ON THE SCREEN

I had the same exact defect on a little older LG, it's a common issue on LG panels, the problem is on the source driver cof that began to slightly desolder, i have fixed it for some minutes but i had too much hurry to remount the bezel, the story is long, i ended cracking the cof due to shim mal positioned, its not easy when there is not a confortable plane of work. I think a better technique than mine can be used to fix it much faster and better with the use of a simple soldering iron stylus.

the other side should have shown a picture.
                    not on the LG..

NOTE: A COF is a chip! not the band that holds it.

LG 82UN8570AUD ~ TCON or PANEL?
                        by kca
                        Hello all ~

Hope this finds you well. This LG 82UN8570AUD (April 2021 model) 4K UHD television has full audio capabilities but video is compromised / problematic.

When I picked up this large LG tv it had a full black screen upon startup. Previous owner said it just went black one day. No popping sound or anything else of note.

I got the display to work by taping off several traces of the right-hand side ribbon cable on the TCON that leads from TCON to PANEL. However, despite dozens and dozens of attempts to find the right combination / range of traces taped...

Just bought this for 10 bucks yesterday hoping to fix it. The guy said water dropped inside from a dehumidifier hose and it started showing black and white vertical bars then went blank. When I got it home and turned it on it came on fine and displayed correctly but I was noticing faint vertical bars in the image. After a little bit I turned it off and back on and it was a black screen again. I opened it up to check for water damage and corrosion but didn't find anything of the sort. I cleaned the ribbons anyway and reconnected them but still got a blank screen. If I disconnect the right side...

Driving a Sharp TCON/panel with a universal main board
                        by advant
This thread is about trying to get an Universal Main Board to work with a Sharp TCON and panel.

I have a Sharp LC-46D85UN TV that has had a main board issue. Since this model is from 2009, I am not able to find an exact replacement of the main board. Instead, I decided to see if I can future proof this tv by getting a Universal Main Board (T53U21.2) from China to work with the Sharp TCON (CPWBX4291TPZA) and panel. The universal main board supports a 8 bit dual channel LVDS interface whereas the TCON requires a 10 bit dual channel LVDS input. I have modded the LVDS connector to match...

                        by netgearnetgear
Good day, I have a TCL TV: Model 43s423. After turning ON the TV, the ROKU TV logo appears with fine lines over the whole screen, then after a while there are vertical bands in the middle of the screen top to bottom and the TV tries to update its firmware but I do not have the remote to connect it to my new network connection. Also the Power ON light blinks 2 times in quick succession. When I remove the ribbon on the right of the tcon board the left side of the screen shows but with fine lines. If I remove the left side ribbon and connect the right side ribbon the whole screen is blank with...

Hello everybody! Posting this in hopes somebody has some expertise that leads to a clear path of troubleshooting that saves me a lot of time!

My macbook has the flex cable problem, the one that prevents the screen turning on. Ive been dealing with this for the last 3 years. Last year it went dead and I managed to fix it following youtube tutorials. But my fix wasnt the best, the problem returned a month later. This week, it went dead again. I again tried to fix it.

This time the original cable broke too close to the screen, it can't be fixed without tearing the screen...
