Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
Just a reminder, I had OP remove the R947 from the board to isolate the AUX power supply for feeding the PFC and 12V/24V circuit so we can figure why we only getting around 10V on C946.
https://www.badcaps.net/forum/attach...9&d=1595998843
And we also have the same problem with the 37" board, we only have 10V on C946 and the Voltage on the main cap is only a little over 300 V instead of 395V..Last edited by budm; 08-01-2020, 01:29 PM.Leave a comment:

Yes someone fitted an extra 18.7k resistorLeave a comment:

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
Or it could be that pins 5 & 6 are shorted by solder when the IC was replaced.
Edit
Have you fitted an extra resistor along the R907, R908, R909, R911 path??Last edited by dick_barton; 08-01-2020, 09:04 AM.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
One side of R819 is connected to ground via L903 and the other side connected to ZCD. The only way it can measure such a low resisteance is that ZCD is shorted to ground or has a very low input resistance. Perhaps the 10V internal zener has gone short circuit.Leave a comment:

D916 measure in Diode mode OK and when in resistance iam getting 8K and reverse OL
C946 measure ESR 0.08ohmLeave a comment:

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
I want to solve the problem as much as you do, at least we get the 5V on the standby output OK.
Try lifting one leg of the D916 then check the resistance in both directions to see what you get.
There is not much in that 15V section of that STBY power supply, just the transfomer winding, rectifier (D916) and filter cap C946.
BTW, did you ever test the C946 ESR?Leave a comment:

I am still thinking, i have been staying up late here every night until 2 ~3 AM my time helping you and the other guy in Euro and I am very tire right now, I need to clear my head so I can think straight again.Leave a comment:

in the mean time can i check some more components?Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
OK. I have to spend more time to figure why we are not able to get 15V on C946.Leave a comment:

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
Power up the board and see what Voltage you will get on C946 again.
BTW, you can leave 1K resistor in place for now.Leave a comment:

I did replace ZD907, when one leg un-solder iam getting 85K ohm in one directionLeave a comment:

Re: Philips 47PFL4606 No Power Fuse Keeps Blowing
Can you un-solder one leg of Zener diodeZD907 and check the RESISTANCE in both direction of that ZD907?
BTW, did you replace ZD907?Leave a comment:

Hello
If swapped out T803 from the 47 inch to the 37,
and swapped it back to the orginal boards againLeave a comment:

by DannyxGood day folks......wow this new layout is weird. It's like I woke up one day and I'm no longer on Planet Earth or something
Anyway....got this here power brick from a USB to SATA adapter which keeps blowing the fuse after I almost repaired it. The reason I even bother to fix a power brick (wall wart, whatever) in the first place is because this thing was really convenient to use: I'd just plug it and that's it. It's a dual output supply, for both 12v and 5v, which although I COULD easily obtain with a DC-DC converter from a standard 12v adapter, I thought I should crack open the... -
by TipsLooking for some assistance please.
Trying to repair a PD27AOQ samsung power board.
Initially had the typical problem of cm806 capacitor blown, additionally thermistor NT801s blown.
Replaced the ceramic capacitor, str60252s, bridge rectifier, thermistor and fuse.
Testing it the fuse blows immediately power is turned on.
diodes dm852 and dm853 test as shorted when in the board but fine when removed.
any assistance, guidance would be appreciated. -
by RogerH58Hi all,
I am a newbie and not very experienced so bear with me if i struggle sometimes with technical language - but I'll do my best. I searched "Samsung" and the model number on the forum but didn't find anything I could understand!
I'm not an electronics guy - just picked up stuff over the years through my flight-simming hobby.
I have the above mentioned 46" tv as the monitor for my flight-sim setup. Recently it went "crack" and stopped working. No standdby light and no response. I assumed a fuse had blown and after investigation... -
by corrizeHello, I disassembled this dead camera, and found this WTF… Two fuses soldered one above the other !
I was pretty sure nobody touched it before, but that can't be from factory. There is flux, and capacitor is probably missing.
The other weird thing : the fuses are « G » fuse : (0.75A – 8V), seems very low. The original fuse should be « O » : (32V 2,5A).
There is « O » mark beside. All fuses have the same mark letter on main board. So, I can deduce it's a « O » fuse.
And this correspond to the issus I saw : when I plug the battery, I measure the voltage dropping... -
by simwalshHi,
I am new to this forum and have searched for some answers with problems similar to mine.
Philips TV powers on as normal for about a minute or less then click and no power at all not even standby light. If i disconnect from mains and reconnect it will power on again but for a shorter time. Once i leave it disconnected from main for a longer time it will power on for a longer period the next time.
It sounds like a power supply issue?
I have the board out and want to run some tests. Not sure what i should be doing but i put a 1k resistor across SB and +5v... - Loading...
