Re: LG 42LB552v no power red light blink twice then off
Ok so I've changed two opto in the power supply.
When I connect the tv the backlight comes on but no image and the two blinking of red light remains then goes away. If I keep finger on power for few seconds the backlight turn off and red light stay solid but I hear a rapid clicking sound in the power supply.
If I turn tv on again backlight comes on two flashing red light then goes off and the clicking sound stops. -

Try to unplug the main board and turn it on again.
Do the LED's come and stay on?Comment

Re: LG 42LB552v no power red light blink twice then off
since the power switch is on the main board i wont be able to turn on the tv with the main board disconnected. but ive tried to power it on without the tcon board and the backlight does not turn on.
ive tested all the voltage on power supply going to the main board all are fine.
the strange thing is that the standby light will flash twice then completely off but the back-light remain on till i turn it off from power button then the standby light will stay solid redComment

Re: LG 42LB552v no power red light blink twice then off
1) Please attach good clear pictures fo the whole back side of the TV showing all the boards so we can see what we are dealing with?
2) Your post #1: "I've check the power supply everything seems ok" does it mean all the Voltages and the control Voltages are OK?
3) Your post #2: "Ok so I've changed two opto in the power supply." Are they bad? What section of the circuit are they used in?Never stop learning

With the set powered off check the resistance of the fuse. It should read close to 0 ohms.
Did you take the voltage measurent across the fuse and not from chassis to one side of the fuse and then chassis to the other side?Last edited by dick_barton; 05-26-2020, 07:56 AM.Willing to help but I'm no expert.Comment

Re: LG 42LB552v no power red light blink twice then off
i tested the fuse and get continuity so its good also i check the voltage from both side of the fuse and not from chassis.
i dont think its the power supply im suspecting the main board to be faulty. problem is i live very far and shipping is costly and dont have the luxury to order a main board to test i have to make sure before i do as i cannot return it after.Comment

Re: LG 42LB552v no power red light blink twice then off
It's still not clear, we are looking for about 12 volts on each side of the fuse when acting correctly, for this you put red + probe on each side of fuse and the black - probe goes to chassis ground.Comment

by PantherDaveHi all!
I'm trying to troubleshoot a Microsoft Surface Pro (5th gen) model 1796 that won't power on. Motherboard model is M1007506-015. My priority is retrieving data, but the SSD is integrated so it looks like if I can't repair it it'll need to go to a data recovery company. I've done a little basic board repair before, but nothing this advanced until now. So please forgive my ignorance in advance. 😅
I found the boardview for this laptop in the forums here, and am able to open it on my PC with FlexBV.

by ipatchhello, i have been sitting on some microsoft surface pro 4 tablets for a while now. i was originally tasked with replacing the battery in one of the tablets, and ended breaking the screen and logic board in the process. decided to buy another tablet with the same specs. got that screen off successfully of the second tablet. the logic board appeared good, but i guess i shorted something out in the installation process of the logic which i've read is a common issue if there is no barrier between the logic board and battery pins. all that said, i ate costs of the repair and have...

by russpallHi there,
I've got a 39" LG 39LN540V that's just spontaneously stopped working! The symptoms are - when I plug it in, the red light will flash on twice, then go out, there's no visible picture, and I couldn't see anything using a torch on the panel either. If I press the power button (either remote or on TV), the red light comes on continuously. If I press power again, the red light flashes twice.
The TV is using a power board EAX64905301. I've attached a diagram of the power output, I've tested the voltages with a multimeter and I'm getting the following:

by AcnologiaHello to all,
New laptop to troubleshoot.
It power on , fan spin , no image, no light on caps lock.
Power light is blinking orange .(not an error blink) just orange blinking.
You press power button again , again it powers up fan spin ,and then cuts off.
What i tried?
Removed everything only board, and external monitor left on , and powered with bridge to the power button (in case it was the problem)
Tried reset RAM ,new RAM , re-flashed bios dump ,from thread that i found here again all the time the same behaviour. With any kind... -
by sam_sam_samI have wanting to do this project for quite sometime now and I finally found a switching power supply that will work on this desoldering gun station ZD-915 that the original switching power supply took a shit and just was not worth trying to fix it because this switching power is not quite big enough to handle the heater element and the vacuum pump
One note when I tested the switching power supply and the voltage control board I noticed that this desoldering gun heat up much faster than the original switching power supply which I was really surprised by to the point that I might buy... - Loading...
