Re: samsumg plasma PS43D450 PSU ISSUE
How much voltage do you get on the Vs line? Just saying it goes off and on does'nt help much. What is the BN44-00xxx number ?
What is the voltage across the main filter cap, in standby and when you force the power supply ON (does the voltage increase when ON?)Last edited by R_J; 03-06-2020, 04:04 PM.Comment

Re: samsumg plasma PS43D450 PSU ISSUE
l tried to run a self test on the power supply by connecting PS_ON TO GND, STNBY TO VS_ON as to get all voltage from the psu, but vs comes and goes back, like the owner said before it went bad that he was hearing some spark inside the tv, so when i opend the tv , i noticed a spark on the leg of a cap c5093 in the y main board , after i changed the cap, i noticed the relay clickingComment

by lp20thI have a vintage 2008 Samsung 50” Plasma TV, Model code PN50A550S1FXZA with a power supply part number BN44-00222A. I repaired the power supply board several years ago finding a couple of cold solder joints on the back side of the board and it's worked great up until now. Recently a fried sound occurred with the smell of burnt electronics and the TV shut down. Trying to turn it back on yielded the typical relay clicking with no TV boot up. Upon investigation, removing feeds to the other boards within the TV it was found that disconnecting the logic board from the power supply allowed the...

by rouninHi everyone,
I'm working on a MacBook Air 2020 (A2337, board 820-02016) and running into a strange USB-C issue. I've gone through quite a bit of testing and part replacement, but I'm stuck — hoping someone here can shed some light.
🛠 Original Issue
The machine initially wouldn't negotiate 20V over USB-C — stuck at 5V.
Diagnosis showed PP1V5_UPC0_LDO_CORE shorted to ground.
I replaced U3100 (UF400) using a donor board (A2179), and the machine powers on fine now.

by ugamazingI have three identical-spec 820-01700 boards (2.6/32/512), and ALL THREE boards came to us with the same fault, from different sources: The boards don't wake from hibernation with the keyboard or lid, they ONLY wake when you press the power button. I understand this is a very minor issue, but the boards must be fixed!
We will of course begin with the obvious (checking lid signals), but I couldn't help but notice these three boards were all 32GB variants. Has anyone noticed an issue relating to these 32GB boards in particular? I of course don't think it's a RAM issue, but it's bizarre... -
by LITEZONERforgot to put the model number in the last post, could not edit it, guess I waited to long. anyway, has anyone seen this weird issue on one of these plasma sets, I was thinking maybe a loose ribbon, but wanted to check if anyone had seen this before. thank you...10-22-2021, 09:27 PM
