Sharp Aquos LC-70LE650U - Dark screen, ghosting. Confused, thought it was fixed

My Sharp Aquos LC-70LE650U was having an issue where the right half of the screen was dark and had latency/ghosting issues. I did some research and found that it may be due to a loose cable, so I took the TV apart and tightened the visible cable connections. When I turned the TV on again, the picture was fixed! I let the TV run for awhile to make sure it wasn't an issue that would come back once it had been in use awhile. It seemed like it was fixed.

Today, my family helped me hang the TV up. Once it was on the wall, I tested it again and the picture was just fine. I went out for the day and came home...I turned on the TV, and the issue was back! I thought I had fixed it, but I guess not! Maybe it wasn't the cable connections after all? Is it normal for an issue like this to come and go?

Here's a video showing the issue:

there are small cables in the bottom corner of the panel (on each side). They interconnect the bottom edge boards to the side edge boards. Check to ensure that they are seated properly especially the one associated with the side that is darker. IF that doesn't resolve the problem, then the likely problem is an issue with the tabs along that side. There are lots of posts about this type of failure and the "save" by removing the tabs on the faulty side. BUT this is a one way operation and can't be backtrack so do some further reading and checking. A further check is to unplug the corner cable ( one at a time, power off of course) and check the result. Go from the results.

Finally got around to working on this. Should I need to disassemble it more to get to the plugs you mentioned? I'm not sure what to do from here.

Which type of knowledge you have in this field? I think you have to, after doing the simple checks like connections on flat cables, to interrupt the VCC that feeds the side COFs, if this is a martian language for you, better that you sell tv for parts..

As far as I understand, all that needs to be done with this TV is either tighten a loose cable connection, or clip off some tabs.

Don't part it out just yet, someone will help you with testing.

what cable connections were you referring to in your original post???? It doesn't appear that you have taken anything apart on the back of the tv at this point and with the above question and posted picture.

Your tv is likely saveable so don't part it out... that suggestion is coming from people just looking for a cheap parts supply. There are lots of posts in this forum about this type of problem. It could be a problem with internal cabling as I mentioned (you need to remove the plastic frame / guard to expose the bottom edge boards of the panel and the corner cables thereon) or possibly a problem with the bonded tabs on the panel.
