Yes, I got 12V at both ends of the T-CON fuse. (Thanks ngth82 for advising which component is the T-CON fuse)

At this point, I do not get sound from the tv. May be the tv is at the mode (such as menu mode) which should not have sound.
Nope. How can they be OK, look at your readings! You count the pins wrong, the exposed pins that you can see from the top side of the board are ODD number pins, the EVEN number pins you have get to them through wire entrance of the connector or from the bottom side of the board.
Look at some of your reading, I.E. how can you have 12.47V on the ground pin 14? or one of the B5.3V pin has 3.3V, how can that be possible.
Triangle mark is for pin 1.

Sorry, I do not know which one is the wifi module and the ir board. Could you please refer to the photos of my post #1 and tell me where they are so that I can try out your suggestions?

Sorry everybody, I made a big mistake. Last time, I followed budm's suggestion on post #19 and unplugged the BL-ON wire, but I forgot to put it back. May be that is why I have backlight and such readings this time. I will check it all over and report again.

Re: Samsung UN60ES6100F black screen with standby led flashing 5 times

Let me start it all over.

After reflowing the processor, I still got a black screen, no backlight like the very beginning.

When testing the connector from mainboard to powerboard, I got the following voltages.

            PIN 1 NC = 3.3V
            PIN 3 OD ON = 1.786V
            PIN 5 GND = 0V
            PIN 7 B12.8V = 12.47V
            PIN 9 B12.8V = 12.47V
            PIN 11 Vamp = 12.47V
            PIN 13 Vamp = 12.47V
            PIN 15 GND = 0V
            PIN 17 B5.3V = 5.4V
            PIN 19 B5.3V = 5.4V

            PIN 2 NC = 3.3V
            PIN 4 NC = 3.3V
            PIN 6 PWM DIM2 = 1.94-2.04V
            PIN 8 PWM DIM1 = 1.94-2.04V
            PIN 10 B12.8V = 12.36V
            PIN 12 BLU_ON = 0V
            PIN 14 GND = 0V
            PIN 16 GND = 0V
            PIN 18 A5V = 5.4V
            PIN 20 PS-ON = 3.33V

All the test results before the reflow remain unchanged as before.

When I did the reflow on the processor (my first time), I removed the ceramic heat sink first. I put some flux around the edge of the processor. My heat gun is only a cheap one. It only has temperature setting of 1 to 8, but I do not know what temperature it represent. I set the temperature setting to 6. (Because I have tried it on removing some smt components. I found when lower than 6, the solder cannot be melted). I also put some solder on top of the processor. When I saw the solder melted, I kept the heat blowing onto the processor for about 10 -15 seconds more. I did the same process one more time.

Should I do the reflow again with longer time?
Should I do the reflow on some more other components?
            All other suggestions are welcomed.

Those 3 little cables going to the mainboard, just follow them back, one should be for speakers.

Sure try it again, when the top piece melts give it another 40 seconds.

Do you want me to trace those cables?

Yes, I will try it again accordingly later today.

You should find your ir board at the end of one of them.

You need to remove the whole back not just the access panel to get at it, maybe you should do the other tests first tho.

My guess is the processor on mainboard is just shot, even when the reflow works it usually doesn't last too long.

What do you mean by other tests? Unplug the wifi module? Sorry, I do not know where the wifi module is and if my tv has it.

Ok, probably not the problem anyway, I guess go with the re-reflow then.

I have tried re-reflow the processor 3 more times. I started with 40 seconds and the last one was up to 70 seconds. But nothing changed.

Should I continue with heating with longer time and/or with higher temperature setting?

I think you got it plenty hot to melt the solder. If you get it too hot it will kill the chip.

I know it's well after the last post, but did this problem get resolved? I have the exact same tv with the same problem. Black screen standby light blinks 5 times.

I see on shopjimmy there is a t-con repair kit (IC and two caps) for a no video symptom on this model. I'm thinking that will fix my issue, but would like to hear what happened in this case.....if anything.

                                      Thanks
