For good measure, while you are on the back of the board, check all your solder joints, maybe touch up any that look like they could use it, check the joints of anything on a heatsink, the ones on transformers take the most abuse, check those too.

Can you post the numbers on the ic's, IC201 and IC601. Can you measure the dc voltage ACROSS ZD110 (near the printing "Attention Live Parts")
Using ZD110 anode, check the voltage on Q104 emitter (lead closest to C109) and Q104 base (lead near the !)
It is likely Q104 is the vcc switch for the two ic's above

I think it is narrowed down to D603. It's an NXP NUR 460 Ultra-Fast and I do not have an equiv. so I tried a 3A and with that it did Power up and got the Vizio logo on the screen then it killed that diode. At this point I think I am going to order some of those and jump to the next TV. I will check those other readings but probably not get anywhere without having that diode in place.

Will I be able to get anything at those points without having D603 in place?

Ok, sounds like you have it located. A standard diode can't handle the high frequency of the pfc circuit.
I supect you would be able to check those voltages but if the tv did work to turn on the screen that circuit will be working as it must have turned on both the main and pfc ic's
I suspect once you replace the diode with the proper type you will get the +12 and +24 volts

So it is the pfc after all. The MUR460 is a ultra fast 4A 600V Diode, so you need either something equivalent or better. A lesser diode will just blow again. No you can’t get the TV working without the proper diode.

Ordered the diode and crossing my fingers, hoping it soles the problem. Thanks for all your input and will let you all know the outcome.

                  Vizio m601d-a3 backlight issue
                  by Mectronik
Hello, I'm working on a Vizio m601d-a3 with a backlight issue that I am having a difficulty diagnosing it. As it sits, the tv powers on, displays the Vizio symbol and with nothing hooked up it will then display no signal but you can only see half of the screen. I know it's a back light issue because the picture is there without light behind it, as I can see it by doing a light test. I've taken off the paneling and done a visual inspection. If I disconnect the tcon ribbon cable to the affected side then the entire half of the screen goes away. I've checked voltages at the LED driver from the main...

                  Vizio P759-G1, Tcon issue?
                  by EazyBone
Got this TV free. Guy said it tries to turn on and doesn't. I haven't seen this specific issue before but shown in video. Any way to test the screen to rule it out on these Vizio? Or anyone seen this issue before?

                  Any help appreciated

                  Vizio E65-E1 strange image issue
                  by remmurdmd
Hi everyone. First new thread here. I picked up a TV on the side of the road. It appears to function correctly with the exception of an image issue I'm unable to describe. I've searched for “double picture” and “double image” all over the web and all I get is repair videos for when the picture is blurry and the connections are getting interference between the display panels and the t-con board. I believe this is a t-con board issue, but I haven't found anything telling me conclusively that this is where my issue is. I'd appreciate any assistance you can provide. I live a pretty busy life...

                  Issue with 42 Vizio TV
                  by derrickcaputo
                  Hello,
I have a 42" Vizio TV. I hooked my tablet to the HDMI inputs. Everything was fine until the screen went black and now the only input that works on the TV is coax. No hdmi, no component, no rca. I tried hooking up a laptop to the Hdmi port and the computer
detected the TV model but no image.

Is there anyone having the same issue? Did you find any solution?

                  Interesting E60-E3 (Vizio) issue
                  by bscottjohnston
                  Good morning BadCappers,

I picked up a Vizio E60-E3 yesterday. The donator claimed that it never powered on and that he checked Voltages at the power supply. I checked a handful of Voltages and then laughed when I realized I was trying to turn it on via the menu button on the back of the TV when its upside down on my TV repair bed (literally my guest bedroom).

Okay so I took out the mainboard and decided to flux up the BGA and heat it up. Upon reinstall of the mainboard the TV does indeed power up but all of the screens have a blue hue AND the video displayed fails...
