Samsung UE58J5200AW picture freezes

Hi guys
I have this Samsung UE58J5200AW. The owner gave me this video of the problem.

The TV works then after a few minutes the picture freezes... and melts. Any suggestions?

Yes I've seen that video before, however the TV works OK for about 5 mins then the problem occurs. If you try later it works again for a while. So the problem is intermittent.

Right my guess is it overheats with a little time, that method there works for bad/faulty gate drivers, might not always work tho.

the remote is responding fine. He turned the TV off, then back on again. I think the problem is either the Tcon, the ribbon cables, or the gate drivers.

I corrected my post about the remote, but I will just delete the post to avoid any confusion.

Is this your T-CON board?

Check test points AVDD, VGL, VGH when first turning the TV and see if they disappear when the screen fades to black.
