    Vizio M551d-A2 No Picture No Sound - I Don't Understand

    Vizio M551d-A2 Serial Number LWJJOJDP No Picture No Sound No Backlights - Please help with me this one. On CN101 pins 1: 5v, 2: 5V, 3: 3V, 4: 3V, 5&6: GND, 7&8:NA, 9&10:GND, 11&12: 12v, 13: 0V, 14: 0V, 15: 3v. On CN102 pins 1 & 2: 24v. On CN202 pins 1,8,9,16: 39.4V. No voltage at F1 on the TCon board. I'm lost on this one, Thanks for any help.

      Is the tcon fuse good?

          You didn't label all the pins. Test connector from mainboard to powerboard on powerboard side with all boards hooked up, test with tv plugged in but off then hit power, report both conditions here, give pin number, pin description/name and condition both off and when you hit power on. So we can see all the voltages and what they are doing.

              Thanks nomoresonys, TCon fuse is good. TV power switch or remote does not change anything with these voltages.

                  Need pin number follow by pin name and follow by the readings.
                  Is Fuse F10 on main board good/

                                  lamp error... likely either a led or driver problem. Likely the customer tossed.

                                      15 LAMP ERR: 3V, this is the clue for lamp error? would it have 0 volts if no lamp error?

                                              Hi I inherited a Vizio M65-E0 that isn't working. It must have been dropped on the corner because I found that the infrared circuit had a capacitor with one end broken off of the board and some green corrosion around the plug to the main board. I re-soldered the capacitor and cleaned the corrosion well and tried turning the M65-E0 on and I was successful. My problem is that while the back lights come on and appear to perform local dimming there is no picture or sound. It kind of looks like you are looking at the TV through a very dense fog, where changing the input on the remote will change bright...

                                              Hi, I have a Samsung UE50TU with:
                                              - sound and backlight, but no picture
                                              - when it arrived, it had a picture for a few seconds
                                              - it keeps rebooting
                                              - without ribbon cable between the two panel boards, it does not reboot but I have no picture
                                              - without cable between mainboard and lcd panel, it does not reboot (but obviously i have no picture)
                                              - when i try a tape fix, its keeps rebooting, unless I tape off pin 1 (the innermost pin). In that case it does not reboot but I have no picture.

                                              I have a 60 inch Samsung UN60EH6000F flatscreen TV. The screen went black a few months ago Sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. I replaced the TCon board with a used board purchased from Ebay. It worked fine for a 3-4 months, then the screen started ‘fading' back. Once again, sound is good, backlight is good, no menu. However, this time the picture looks fine for about 10-15 minutes, then fades back. If I power cycle the TV, the display reappears, for another 10-15 minutes, then fades black again. Repeatable ever time.

                                              so i took out one of my spare gigabyte ep35-ds3r mobos from storage for use to do some cpu, ram and video card testing of stuff i bought from ebay and got for free from momaka. he bought 50 e8400 cpus for cheap from ebay some years ago and i decided to help him relieve him of some of his supply since he had waaaay too many!! what did we say about hoarding too much stuff and depriving others of them?! *cough* socialism *cough* lol!

                                              i had to blow some dust off the board and heatsinks with the datavac as i didnt clean it up before putting it in storage. after finishing...

                                              Hello, i am working on Vizio M70-C3. It can hardly power on, it takes 15 power button presses or remote. Seems like eeprom problem that I seen before but all reading online says that this tv has power board or main board problem.
