Hello to all friends of the forum. This projector will not turn on after a power surge. Disassembling it, I found the psu with burnt components, I found a large carbonized resistor, burnt smd resistors, short power mosfet, and two small smd smeared transistors, The ic switch is a ld7575ps. Do you think it is possible to go back from another scheme to the components that can be replaced since the names are not legible?

Re: projector Cheerlux CL720 with damaged psu
before 3 years i got one same the Chinese LCD led projector with power board toasted at the primary AC -DC section, i tried to find component but failed,so i took all the AC-DC parts out from PCB remain only the Transformer and the DC parts of the unit and the LED. used normal power board 20W AC to 12 Volts and put the projector transformer on it to produce 12 v and 35v to led.. and its work till now.. and the LED going more bright as before too.Comment

Re: projector Cheerlux CL720 with damaged psu
I thank you for the answer, but do I have to connect the 12v in the primary side of the transformer or in the secondary?
I noticed that in the primary and secondary side of the transformer there are more outputs, in any case this power supply works with two voltages, 12v and 35v in outputComment

Re: projector Cheerlux CL720 with damaged psu
i used only the hot area from the power supply and put on it the Transformer and the DC COLD area of the Proj. board. as i said. the Transformer out put only one 12v but the Proj. one had 2 35 and 12. the good things the input of Chinese power supply transformer almost the same with 4 pins so you may connect the Original TR with wire as the size and position of pin at hot area different or opposite. don't forget the OPTO of the original board to connect to the diy one you use.. look at photos IMG its yours board and other are the diy one i usedComment

Hello Guys
I have a ASUS Rog strix laptop that I bought recently to fix and the previous owner spilled water on it . He brought it into a repair shop for them to check it out and instead of fixing it they damaged the battery connector of the laptop ! Other than that they damaged damaged nothing . But since the liquid damage the laptop only turns on and the keyboard lights up and then immediately turns off. I really want to repair this laptop and I also have experience in repairing phones etc and laptops and a bit of soldering but the diagnosing part is where I need help with and...3 Photos -
by dicky96Hi guys
This Zotac GTX 260 had a high side MOFET on one Vcore VRM phase short circuit Drain to Gate (Not short Drain to Source)
This has burnt out the drive IC L3E (ADP3110A) and also an SOT-23 device very close to the driver IC. According to the PCB markings 'Dxxx' this is likely to be a diode.
Basically the VRM has 4 phases, two powered from one 6 way connector and two powered from the other 6 way
I would assume each pair of phases are basically identical, the burnt out phase has SOT-23 devices WW1 plus the burnt one.
The good phase... -

Lg PF1000u projector, please admin update the title. Thanks
Hi everyone
My projector died out a couple of weeks ago.
It's not techically dead, I can turn it on and I can hear it boot it properly, can turn it off as well, the fan boots but there was no image, no led turning on at all.
Yesterday I finally had the time (too busy at work) to disassemble it.
I opened it up and found out that the led drive part of the board had a short and had burned out. The part is the dlpa3000d from... -
by dicky96Hi guys
Can anyone identify this component U100
See the video at 38mins 20secs (microscope close-up)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lgQirxbbov4
It connects to the SMRESET signal coming in from the PCIe pin 11 and is presumably a logical AND gate or dual transistor/FET
Thanks
