Hi guys

I installed the new T-CON and cable between Mainboard and T-CON. When dwitched on the TV comes on, but with this shadow picture on about top fifth of picture. I did clean the ribbon cables between the T-CON and panel.

Do the test in post #18 and see if one side is good.

I did as you suggested. Please see attached pictures. I also now see the thin horizontal lines in the top half. I read somewhere that the D-series is notorious for bad panels. However, I was hoping this might be something else. Can this be a bad T-CON?

Here's one preprogrammed flash listing for a UN55D6003SF. Technically, this board uses nand flash and not eeprom. Good chance that it would work for UN46D but still fairly expensive.

I stay away from the D model year Samsungs, LE, LV, LW, LS? series LGs, and all Vizios. F model year Samsungs also have a lot of expensive to repair main board issues.

Someone just emailed me about this model and there are a few sellers offering repair services on ebay (around $100) plus a few sellers of preprogrammed flashes (around $35).
