Philips 43PUK4900/12 screen in test color mode after leds replacement.

    Brand: Philips
    Model: 43PUK4900/12
    Chassis: TPN15.2E LA

Hello all, after replacement of some leds of the backlight, i reassembled everything, and when powering on, i just get immediately alternative colors test screens red, blue, green, white, ... no message, no logo ...
Before, the backlight was not working at all, but i could see HDMI2 on the corner, then this is a new issue i caused myself .
It is the same issue as in that post, but i could not find any solution there. https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showth...t+screen+t-con
I am a professional and used ESD equipement ...

As i know, some T-Cons are able to display such test color screens when powered but no signal coming from LVDS, then i am able to say the screen and t-con are looking good, I am affraid about the motherboard or LVDS cable, any one as an idea about it ?

    Thanks a lot by advance

I found it !! on one exit of the t-con to the panel, inside de connector was a very very small black insect, we call it "thunder bug" here , I was searching around the LVDS cable, but it was on ribbon to the panel control rules.

It works now ! So glad about it, thanks for your help anyway.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
        by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

        Assuming...

Philips 65PUS8518/12 distorted image after main board replacement
        by tuner2000i
        hello everyone,

I don't normally do tv repairs but this is a case with my personal TV which got fried together with many other electronics in my house after a thunderstorm.

The TV is a Philips 65PUS8518/12 which had no power. I measured and concluded that the main board was probably fried through ethernet or hdmi. I found a board with same number 715GD328-M0F-B00-005Y (I had G) but from a 55PUS8518. The TV starts but the image is doubled, distorted. I need to set the panel code which is 016 according to the sticker on the back but I can not seem to do it.

Philips 50PUH6400 bad color and gosting / slow motion on one side
        by Cornito
        Hello Team,

New issue on LCD panel where I need to find out the cause and the potential solution.
This is on the Philips 50PUH6400, the LCD panel is an INNOLUX V500dk2 xrs1.

I have image, on the right side, the image is more or less normal even if there is a small blur on edge, on the left there is an issue.
When moving up and down in the menu on the right the image is slow to disappear, and is darker, like red/brown.

I've checked voltages, no issue found comparing right and left side of the panel driver.

SHARP LC-32CHF5111K - stuck at color test mode
        by YellowJacket
        Hi friends,

TV has stuck at - as I googled the term - color test mode. Slowly flashing colors white, red, green, blue, black, over and over again. I tried some hints from internet, like pressing some remote buttons, but nothing worked. I also tried factory reset for Sharp TVs => "while holding vol– & input buttons on tv plug in set when “k” appears push vol– & chan- " , but TV doesn't even start during buttons pressed.
So I decided to flash new firmware to SPI ROM. What do you say, would it help? If so, where can I find some dump? I was unable to find...

Corsair K70 LUX RGB dying LEDs
        by Pipolups
        Hi there !

I'm having an issue for several weeks with my quite old K70 LUX RGB keyboard. I haven't used it for few months, and once I setup up again my desktop computer, I got several dead LEDs on that keyboard. I tried the Corsair troubleshooting thing (disabling options in iCUE, ...) but nothing changed so I conclude that for some reason some LEDs went in retirement...😅
Decision taken to change these LEDs as I have access to desoldering iron and binocular magnifier, I wrote a ticket to tech support, hopping to obtain the LEDs reference and... They refused to tell me 🙄...
