It would appear that my Samsung PN59D6500 has that bad eeprom or nand chip (I can't remember which) issue that causes the boot loop after the splash screen. I've done the usual gamut of troubleshooting steps and can't seem to come up with any other option besides replacing the main board or having a repair service replace the defective chip.
First off, if there have been any new developments in solving the problem, I'd love to hear about it.
If not, my primary question today is if anyone knows of an alternate main board that will function in the PN59D6500. The original main board part number is BN94-040709A but it is pretty difficult to find and very expensive if you do. I've heard of other model tv's having many n boards that will work but I can't find any actual documentation or anyone who tried a different one that worked?
