I got the green light, and continued to hold buttons for 10-12 seconds,
The green light came on for 10 seconds then went out.
White light came on again for 15 seconds, then went out.
Waited for 60 minutes, no music. Still a blank screen.

in this 15 second was the screen blank and no BL as budwich write LED tester not enough. we have here bricked Android Sony TV, there are Hard Brick and soft Brick MB.
TAKE THE Panel apart and check your LED BL.... if they are fine as yours statement before then you have Hard Brick.MB need reprogramming

it would appear that the bl-er is set so that will likely shut down the system. A tester doesn't provide the "full story" although it does give you a chance to test the entire string... but the system monitors the operating current and if that is out range... which the tester can't really check, then the system will error.

what is the history of the set?

Unfortunately, I don't know any history regarding the 3 sets I have purchased.
I got them from an auction with the sole purpose of trying to further my knowledge in electronics repairs.

Checked the BL and all light up as expected.

How would I go about reprogramming this set.

before you put back the screen , u can turn on the tv with out screen but t-con should connect to MB BL socket connected .. turn on and tell if you can see BL blink once

also please check yout MB the LAN Socket. its look at your photo there are burn or dirt.

Typical, I have rebuilt the screen. I will dismantle again...
I should have waited for more instructions first...

tv can work normal with out screen.. please check result i asked you about the LAN Socket

also please check yout MB the LAN Socket. its look at your photo there are burn or dirt.

The LAN Socket was only a little bit of fluff. All cleaned now.

I started a firmware update at 2:00, and I could see the USB drive read activity, It is still reading from the USB read activity.
Is this normal for it to still be running for this length of time?

Sorry, I was looking up about the firmware and got carried away trying to update it.
Should I power down the set, to allow me to get the voltages from the LEDs?
It still looks like it is reading from the USB drive, That's been six and a half hours it's been running?

this not read from usb. you have error so boot loader turn off psu
its sync of usb input ... so back to post 25

I have just checked to see if the BL flash when first powered on.
Only the top row of LEDs flashed at power up.

BINGO this is the error ... you have shorted LED diode

put your volt on meter on the LED socket and read the up and down when you power the tv on

be aware always. LED testing with just they turn on not enough. as each led had build in diode opposite to the LED light to limited the current. so led turn on but the diode shorted or some time open too

put your volt on meter on the LED socket and read the up and down when you power the tv on

I Test the LED+ from the socket with plug disconnected, at power up 93.44v
And LED- 0.23v
I'm not sure I have taken the correct measurements you wanted.
