DSE GE6987 LCD TV main board (303C3393073) - DDR SDRAM voltage

This board is almost identical to the Haier 55E3500, and in both controllers, DDR SDRAM is integrated.
When connected to a power supply and LCD controller tester, a brief "Loading" message appeared before the picture snowed out, but it did start up OK under unknown circumstances.
An analysis of the circuit revealed that the DDR 1.8V regulator was set for 1.5V (270R between regulator Adjust-Output and 56R between regulator Adjust-GND; 120R between Adjust-GND sets output voltage to 1.8V); even though the Haier circuit uses the MSD3393 (ATSC) as its controller, the GE6987 uses the MSD6306 (DVB) with the same pinout.
Searching for sets which used the MSD6306 (and a block diagram of this IC) revealed that some use a 1.5V DDR voltage while others used 1.8V; the absolute maximum voltage for DDR3 (1.5V +/- 0.075V) SDRAM is 1.975V, so changing the voltage of the DDR regulator to 1.8V with a 240R resistor added between Adjust-Output (even though there was a minor risk of catastrophic failure) resulted in consistent startup of this board without excessive current draw.

    May I ask?

What is the difference between MSD6306 and MSD3393LUM? is that because V-Chip Control or integrated Internet or Android system?

    Study MSD3393LUM

The MSD6306 is DVB while the MSD3393 is ATSC.

Vizio e601i-A3 - Has Sound and Display, But No Backlight - Bad Power Supply Board or Bad LED Bulbs ?
          by Tynan Dill
I was given this TV from my great uncle. He said it just wouldn't turn on one day out of nowhere, replaced the TV, and gave it to me to possibly fix and use for myself.

Upon bringing it home and plugging it up, it showed a standby light.

I powered it on and without a flashlight, the display showed the "V" but the lighting is very dim, but visible.

The screen seems to blackout and stay black, but with a flashlight I can see the display.

With my Playstation 4 connected via HDMI, and running a game I can hear sound.

          Assuming...

Sceptre U550CV-UMR 4K LED, Bad Caps on Main Power Board?
          by Dani_2024
Hi and thanks in advance for any input you might provide!
I have a Sceptre U550CV-UMRD8POTV83BB 4K LED (this is a dumb tv) that I bought new in August 2021, so It's just completed 3 years.
Main power board model: TP.MS3683.PC821 T-Con board: N4TP546UHDPU2L_BO

Last Sunday I was watching a dvd and fell asleep for about half hour, when I awoke the tv screen was black and couldn't get the dvd menu to show, so I changed the input to antenna and had sound but no picture, turned it off. I then got online and found this great site! ....read many troubleshooting tips and this...

Hi, this is my personal laptop, which the original board (lets call it Board A) blew up PU8700 (TPS51486), making a hole on the board, i had left the laptop at my desk one day with the battery fully charged and didn't touch it for a week, but when i tried to turn it on it didn't
Thought the battery was dead, so i plugged in the charger then tried to power on, the power LED blinked once, charged LED still orange, unplugged the charger, plugged in again and I noticed the "magic smoke" smell, so i unplugged the charger, removed the back cover and saw the blown IC (the "magic...

Is it possible to upgrade from a Vestel 17MB97 main board to a 17MB110 Main board?
          by cheeky2
I suppose the real question is whether the existing pinouts from ether a 17IPS71 psu are cross compatible with a 17IPS12 psu? If they are then the exchange of the main boards should have no issues providing the screen is compatible with both main boards. Obviously you can change the screen configurations easily enough (providing you have the correct files) for the main board. Why may you ask would I do this? Well a lot of the smart features are no longer working on a Hitachi 48HBT62U main board I wish to give it a new lease of life!
Obviously the same LVDS connector for the screen connection...

Help identifying voltage regulator on this concept 2 pm5 monitor pcb board?
          by artvandalai
This Concept 2 rower pm5 monitor doesn't shut down. It keeps turning on and stays on after being turned off. I read on another forum by another user that replaced the same component to check the voltage regulator.
The monitor should pull around 35mA when turned on and in shutdown it should drops to around 0.060mA. Any advice on finding the voltage regulator on this board to check if it needs to be replaced?
